Going to make a suggestion for all of The Megas fans out there. If you like their stuff, I'm going to suggest you check out The Protomen. It's their own music, but it tells the story of Megaman 3 in a rock opera format. Very good.

Also, the robot masters are taken from the Megaman 3 roster, as well. The Orwellian theme you mention does stoke some interesting thoughts and a bit of consideration.

Edit: My memory was fuzzier than I thought. The Robot Master's list is from one, but Protoman doesn't show up until three. But, the Robot Master list from the animated series is more in tune with the album, since Protoman showed up alongside most of the Robot Master's in the first game.

It might not even be that, "In this town, I am the law" can be taken the same way as a 1920s mobster saying "I run this town, see?" That's the fun with the Megas- they create characters that can be viewed in multiple ways.

They dont all love him. It seems more in this case that quickman just wants megaman to finish what he started. metalman just wants to prove his worth by defeating megaman. Airman is in despair because he will always be alone, his song is more of a warning if megaman takes his power. Bubbleman is similiar to airman. Crashman truly thinks wily must fall, and megaman is the only way it will happen. Woodman definately thinks hes gonna beat megaman, and get vengeance for the others.

@frostryu I really like your overall analysis but I'd say Bubbleman is more along the lines wanting to prove his own worth and existence, whereas Airman is jealous of friendship and is willing to destroy what he can't have. Airman is what Bubbleman could become, given enough time and rejection. It's kind of funny that in the end Bubbleman is the strongest of them all- only his Lead Bubbles can defeat Wily's final form.
