So is the engine owned by Great Central Railway or the NRM? Did the just let them restore it and then give it back or will the Great Central Railway get to keep it?
how much do you want to bet ! im a fitter who works there and it will get done ! ive worked 13 and a half hours 2day on it alone! it will be steaming in less two weeks !
Sweet stuff, 5*. I always enjoy watching scenes of locomotive restoration at work. I am Looking forward in May, to my second encounter with 70013, since Railfest in 2004.
All credit due to all at the NRM and the Great Central, for such a lengthy and hard, but worthwhile task. And also a mention to Steam Railway magazine, for such an idea to come about in the first place.

It's part of the National Collection but the NRM look after it. A third party company then uses it for day trips.
Fun fact - Oliver Cromwell 70013 was the hardest-working steam loco in 2009, racked up more miles than any other.
