I always wondered how they pulled off that -Hawaiian War Chant-number (with the loud back and forth drum beats towards the end until I saw this fabulous group in Baltimore,MD. I then found out.They were great and a fabulous contribution to the solid swing era.
@Getzwho I like a lot of modern music but will always go back to my collection of vynil and cd's of Ted Heath and his music to relax to good dance music. You keep hold of him - he's a treasure. Keep the faith.

BH1206. Plsd u put this up - thanks. Ted was better than I thought in the 50's Ronnie Verrel kept driving on ! Good big band sound.
I'd lost interest due to modern stuff and Ellington so it's good to hear Ted again and listen with new ears. Terrific.
