@tokarski21 thanks man, my wife and I love your vids. It is all about education. I hope we can wake more people up to what is happening NOW before their very eyes.
So I no longer think of the Democrats or Republicans or Libertarians or Independents as separate factions. I think of Progressives vs all other party affliations. What your video says to me is that our country is being twisted from the inside (our Constitution) to suit the power needs of the few to dominate the needs and liberty of We The People. That is why everything is getting way weird.
As for Progressives, Obama has been captured on video as thanking his fellow Progressives NOT fellow Democrates. John McCain is a Progressive. Hillary Clinton on video called herself a Progressive. Elena Kagan who is being considered as the next Supreme Court justice is a Progressive, Sonia Sotomayer, the most recent appointed Supreme Court Justice is a Progressive. There are Progressives in every party affliation.
A living Constitution means that you would believe that we need to change the Constitution as written to suit the needs of society at any given time. When you don't follow the rule of law of our oriiginal Constitution you open the door for tyranny, which America is experiencing in ever increasing doses right now, and you open the door for a dictator; as we speak our elected representatives are trying to pass a bill to give our President the power to shut down the Internet as he deems fit.
I realize what you meant about using the clown to point out how things are getting weird. I think what is twisting America is the age old human desire for power. Power is not found in our practicing our Constitution as written. That is why we have seen an increasing surge in the policy's and practices of the "Progressive Party." Progressives are the ones who believe in a living Constitution.
I'm split on using the clown. On the one hand he captures attention by making use of the happy/sad persona of clowns. Yet, curiously, he also seems to detract from the statement because I was expecting him to break out in some sort of clown demonstration. The message was good. I did feel rather depressed at all I was seeing and rightly so. Thank you for the "In God We Trust." I'm glad you made the video.
@gage003 Hey thank you so much for the comment. The clown really is just an extension on how weird things are getting in America. Yes, God must play a part.
Here in the UK we are making a go of reducing our massive debt mountain- it is a valiant start but a touch of the too little too late I fear? In the US , I am really loath to say.
Real stuff will survive: talent, love, gardens, homes (although perhaps not in Detroit?) PM's... perhaps post-crash it may be a better world?
What about not utilizing a greenscreen soo much....But I like concept.....also, what about not wearing clown makeup...I think that takes away from the lyrics.....Its kind of like a car crash, I hate to see them, but cant turn away
Thank you for your comment. This was our second video and we had just got the greenscreen... new toy and all. We are currently working on our 4th Video that will be all cinematic. But as a film maker we would really like to hear more on the clown opinion... we are split on it.
@Deeman2323 I like the clown.....leave him there, he made sense of it all, or NO sense of it all. Either way he was the right effect for this video! Great video, loved it!
Everyone's a non-paid critic on the internet. I think all of them should wear f**king clown masks. If Roger Waters had written and recorded this on The Wall, all you shit-baggers would have been tripping on acid saying 'what genius', back in high school. All you faceless scumbag , zombie critics need to grow your own talent.
The whole idea to switch this to a political song came through the video process and how this could have easily meant what about the U.S. and wesaw more video possibilities in that route. The clown make up has two purposes, one theatrical aspect and second and more importantly, to accentuate the disgust I feel for what is happening to America and it's constitutional and traditional value systems. But I really do admire and thank you for taking the time to watch/comment, even if it was negative.
I appreciate the sentiment. But musically it doesn't go anywhere. The phrase, "What about..." was repeated 25 times(yes, I had to listen to this thing a second time so I could take count). Develop your theme some more and offer some solutions instead of just asking, "What about..."
Thank you for taking the time to watch the video and leaving your constructive comments. I never proclaimed to have all the answers, but this I do know, no answers are given without proper questions. As a side note the song was originally written as a love song about two people going through a break up and asking each other if they were sure they wanted to end their relationship, thus the questions what about us. As far as it going nowhere, not sure what you mean by that.
Deep stuff, liked
