  • Play this simultaneously with Nik Raicevic Blue Planet in another window,,,

    sonick universe

  • esto si me gusta

  • Fantastic Sound ; )

  • EXCELLENT!!! DAMMIT, Why did i Get rid of my JD? Ahh! I F-ing LOVE how you went into a Major hey and that Choir sound washed over!! Just a GREAT Composition! the Melody Is beautiful yet haunting!!!

  • Great demo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great demo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Oooh, rolling Synthesizer-Arpeggios and spheric Synthesizer-Sounds, I like such Music-Style, I could dream... This Night I have discovered this very nice Track in Last.fm...

  • beautiful...simply

  • Excellent demo/composition. I realized, through this demo, that what I thought was a CS-80 sound in some Vangelis work had to be the JD-800/990. Always enjoy the retrosound! Everything old is new again. There are softsynths that blow my mind like FM-8, Alchemy and Omnisphere but these have a special quality and immediacy that is rarely attained with softsynth. You improvise with passion. Great work!

    -Sam

  • @newpro5657

thank you for your kind words Sam

vangelis used the JD at the Conquest of Paradise album a lot

  • I have the Wavestation EX, but don't use it hardly ever anymore. I fell in live with the Cakewalk Rapture. Used alot of sounds from my wavestation, saved them as loopable .wav files and imported them

into Rapture Multisample folder and I have created

    some incredible atmospheric soundscapes.

  • Is the DX7 controlling a Wavestation rack module ?

  • @MrSYSTEM20

    yes

  • this music played and the Japanese musician Kitaro?

  • This a great piece. I was owed by "Deep Space" but this one got me breathless. Congratulations.

  • Truly beautiful!

  • how old's the wavestation?

  • @gnrfanatic141414

    20 years

  • fantastic

  • This is a great way to say, "Hey digital is as awesome as analog when it comes to sound." Very nice Video, thank you. The DX 7 is programmed nicely also, do you use any editors for it?

    PaX

  • In this vid I use the DX7 only as Master-keyboard but yes I use editor to program this synth

  • Here's a silly question. Do you need amplifiers to hear the sounds of the synths or not? Not having a synth of my own. Iused to watch T.Dream in the 70's as well. Great stuff.!!

  • You need a simple hifi amp and speakers.

  • Very Nice! Reminds me of experiemental electronic music or Tangerine Dream.

  • thanks

  • It's more than a demo , it's a wondeful piece of electronic music!

  • thank u :)

  • Yes, this passes the demo stage about the time it hit the 45 second mark! Wow!!!

  • nice combo...

you took me to another world.

  • these 2 synths together are a dream come true

  • ive jus floated away ...

  • Great synths! Great song!

  • thanks :)

  • Great work

  • thank you :)

  • Two of the biggest pad monster synths ever on one track? Lovely!

  • @Visionism I'll add a D-50, Yamaha FS-1R and Waldord Wave to that list of pad monsters lol but yea the JD and WS are lovely synths. I just got my self the A/D rack version of the wavestation

  • Great!

Are the wavestation patches you're using preset or you made it?

I'm trying to understand how difficult is to program the wavestaion SR...

  • some self made and some third party patches

  • i just give em all 5 stars before i listen cuz theyre all so good.

  • :)

    thx

  • Korg Wavestation, Yamaha DX7-SY77/99, Roland JD-800...the best synthesizers ever ;)

Great sounds and a very beautiful song...

  • thank you

  • For Mass Effect 2 Soundtrack!!!

  • i love the sound in this too.... have bene looking on ebay for a suitable synth to learn but i forgot about the add ons you need to get anything out of it :o(

  • very great sound

    cool

  • thank you :)

  • wonderful , great sounds , and good job.

    Best regards.

    5+

  • thank you :)

  • Wonderful! Just a question about pad source: what comes from korg wavestation and what from yamaha dx7 (are you using an arpeggiator?)?

    Thanks!

  • thanks

I play only the Wavestation SR rack module with the DX7. No arpeggiator used. You hear the Wave-Sequences from the Wavestation.

  • So you play the Dx7 just like master keyboard. Nice work, really! I like your playing the JD-800 (not just in this video).

  • yes

    only master keyboard

    thank you :)

  • very relaxing, you feel like you are in an other sphere or in space, awesome!

  • Dank dir!

  • just beautiful, reminds me of space, And the hitch hikers guide to the galaxy

  • thanks :)

  • for now i think jd-800 the best one

  • thanks

for great textures you need a Roland JD-800, Korg Wavestation or a Kawai K5000

  • Or the JD-800 rack version = JD-990 ^_^

  • Hi there my friend. First of all, this song is awsome...You clear my mind.. i don´t know much about sinth, and wich is better. I thing of buy maybe a NordLead ... Buy, can you give me the exact models of your keybords.. I wont to make that king of textures and atmosferics.. Thanks

  • How do you get the 'arpeggiator' effect from a DX7(II/FD)?

  • No arpeggiator. I have used the wave-sequence function in the Wavestation.

  • AAH!

Ok, I forgot that was used as well.

By the way, I've heard the high quality version on the other page.

Do you have a MP3 version I can download from somewhere?

  • Nice... Vangelis'ish.

Could be a fill track for Blade Runner !

  • thanks :)

  • Il Roland JD-800 è veramente fantastico!

  • I love it!!!

  • TAKE THAT KITARO! lol

Nice work man, you know Im deciding wich module to buy, between a roland jv1010 and the wavestation, just looking for pads and atmospheric sounds, everyone tells me that the wvestation is old, and the jv is more modern, but those pads are eternal!

  • believe me...

    the wavestation is better...:)

  • the only thing that makes me dount is the bass sounds, I would like a nice bass, but wavestatios´s isnt really good, can one edit and make a decent bass?

Anyway, its a pad module but....

  • youtube schwurbelt!! :)

  • Extrem sogar ;-)

Die Klangqualität ist besonders bei diesem Track so lausig, dass ich das Video am liebsten gleich wieder entfernt hätte.

Die extreme Komprimierung macht vorallem aus den Höhen die schrecklichsten Geräusche.

  • beautiful!

  • Hi,

    thanks for your comment.

  • Beautiful evolving sounds! Great attacks and wonderful releases ... Thank you!

  • thanks :)

Brrr...

  • die zwei besten Rompler der Welt...

  • These wavestations are amazing devices. Thanks for the demo. Wayne

  • Wayne, thanks.

  • Sweet sounds my friend.

    Thank you

  • Thanks for the comment.

  • Haha, amazig sound!! i love your vids but this one its my favourite :)

in some parts sound lik DepecheMode :D!

    cya.

  • Thanks :)
