I first heard this song at his concert in Brendon Byrne arena in New Jersey around Christmas in 1981. He had just gotten back from China and announced that 'I've just written a new song'. This was it. It holds special memories for me. RIP - JD

You know i count myself extemely lucky to have seen John perform live- in the mid/late 80's at the New York State Fair in Syracuse NY. I was a teenager, and didnt fully appreciate what i was hearing, but as time went on I kept listening and I came to love and cherish this man's music. Such a natural, beautiful voice, and a sincere love for what he was doing that shone through with every note of music, and every word of lyric he sang.
