I haven't found any reason to do that, or any reason to load men who can't walk into the ambulance, considering they could just heal themselves at the ambulance.
@MulleDK13 if you run the ace mod you can go unconscious by being to close to a tank firing and heavy guns like artillery...you can go deaf also by not wearing your ear plugs...

You're fighting in a fucking field. Your units are reporting enemy targets as "FAR" and you're using your fucking binoculars to acquire targets. The last time I used binos to acquire targets in CQB was...um..never?
You need glasses. Look up the word "quarters" and maybe apply that definition to CQB. 100 meters doesn't mean shit; the majority of infantry combat occurs within 300 meters. Short range is not the same as CQB.
In the ACTUAL Armed Forces this is what is called a Medium Range Engagement, not CQB ,which is always less than 10m. This is at least 125m engagement range. You should also look at what you did yourself, and that is use Binos to Acquire your Target. That is not CQB, that is a sign of a at minimum Medium to Long Range engagement (75m out to beyond 300m). And, incase you dont know, 1m=39 inches with 36 inches to a yard or 3 feet.
Therefore, 100m=328 feet. That is by no means CQB.
I'm clueless on war? You're fighting in an open fucking field. Last time I checked, a linear battlefield is NOT close quarters.

Single player has a campaign, where you get assigned various objectives.
I didn't start playing the campaign until recently. It's very RPG like. If you want to go somewhere on the map, just go, the game won't keep you from doing it.
No, no, that's not what I meant. I only take issue with the fact that they recorded only seperate words and sentences, it doesn't sound natural. They could've gone that extra mile and record the orders as a whole. I can understand the coordinates though, but they still made it sound extremely unreal.
If you have more than 10, you'll get several pages.
If you have 15 units, for example.
If you have like 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 on the screen at the bottom, you'll get an arrow to the bottom right. If you hit F12 you scroll to the next page, if you hit F11 you scroll back.
So if you hit F12, the bottom should change to show the units:
11,12,13,14,15
Now, these are selected the same way as the first. Not using F13, F14, etc. but by using F1,F2,F3,F4,F5.

@redmax28 It's both singleplayer and multiplayer. Singleplayer has both a campaign and small seperate missions.
In the campaign you always play as Razor Team. In the small seperate missions you play as whoever the mission is about.
The original ARMA 2 has two factions for the BLUFOR side (West), as far as I remember. The US Marine Corpse and Chernarussian Defence Forces.

Having only up to 15 phrases for "down" statements would limit the system by far.
As it is now, soldiers can say "Fuck! 386 is down". I've even had it to thousands.
Even though that's not realistic, it should be possible, and it is.

arma 2 is better than the first arma, but it's not all that we operation flashpoint fans expected (it falls short in the campain mode) and has high system requirements. still better than dragon rising, though

I never really played singleplayer in any of the games.
OFP, ARMA and ARMA 2 has always been about the multiplayer, and making missions.

I disagree, ofp had a very good single-player campaign and missions
it went downstairs with arma and arma 2 is what arma 1 should have been

sounds like the comms are just as anoying in this one as the first...that's disappointing looks like the weapons are better tho and the graphics are great....is the map editor just as easy to use as the first one? :)

Operation Flashpoint 2 is not related to neither Operation Flashpoint nor ARMA or ARMA 2.
OFP2 is simply a random game given a famous name to earn some extra cash.
Get ARMA 2.

The voice system consists of hundreds of different sound files. Some has single words only, while others have multiple words.
The game combines them together in real-time to create any required voice.

I just told them to target me.
You can command individual soldiers in your squad to move, flank, fire, etc.
I told them to target me, then fire.
You can make them target anything. Friendlies, enemies, civillians, vehicles.

You can get as close as your own tactical plan allows you to.
If you mean knifing down the enemy, then forget it. There's no knifes.

I didn't call the helis. I just placed them in the map editor.
The ambulance thing is easy. Simply create a new unit of the type Support -> Ambulance.
Then give it a "Support" waypoint. Just place it a few meters in front of it. When it reaches it, it will be ready to give support.
A squad leader can then request it using the radio (5-1)

It has to be a support vehicle. There's one helicopter ambulance on the russian side, which can be used with the support waypoint.
But you can easily make a helicopter evac, by either using scripting or waypoints.

If you mission allows it, you can request a medic, ambulance, refuel truck, etc.
Single player has a campaign, where you get assigned various objectives.
I didn't start playing the campaign until recently. It's very RPG like. If you want to go somewhere on the map, just go, the game won't keep you from doing it.

No, no, that's not what I meant. I only take issue with the fact that they recorded only seperate words and sentences, it doesn't sound natural. They could've gone that extra mile and record the orders as a whole. I can understand the coordinates though, but they still made it sound extremely unreal.

how can u command the units after no. 10?
i cant command them since there are no more F keys to select them.

If you have more than 10, you'll get several pages.
If you have 15 units, for example.
If you have like 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 on the screen at the bottom, you'll get an arrow to the bottom right. If you hit F12 you scroll to the next page, if you hit F11 you scroll back.
So if you hit F12, the bottom should change to show the units:
11,12,13,14,15
Now, these are selected the same way as the first. Not using F13, F14, etc. but by using F1,F2,F3,F4,F5.
