I applaud posting lessons on youtube, however I'd imagine guitarists who are at the point of learning Preston Reed tunes are competent at tuning and a simple mention of it would be sufficient.

Hi I dont like to be insulting but you spent half the video talking about how you cant tune a low guitar string to A# without it flapping.

Most players know that already..it doesn't have to be explained a zillion ways.

I am sure your full lesson on your website is probably very good, but this put me off a bit, it just rambles too much TBH.

@matt301273 dont give us a reason to criticize then. Just give us the guitar lesson, not a tuning lesson. As people have said, guitarists wanting to learn preston reed songs will be quite accomplished with TUNING the guitar. Simply saying "Tune to this this this and this." would have taken 5 seconds and been more beneficial.

im pretty sure preston reed uses a custom long neck ovation. the long neck supposedly allows him to go to lower tunings without the strings loosing too much tension and vibrate against the fretboard. hope this helped
