  • so where are you? by the looks of it your in Hawaii. by the looks of the trees

  • Putz... Que filmagem horrível.. não deu pra entender nada, era pra mostrar uma antena???

  • What kind of vswr/bandwidth does that give you with the antenna so close to the ground?

  • To memory the swr was ok, below 1:5:1.

Took abit of tuning, but full output power from the rig without use of a tuner.

I now have changed this antenna into a low 20mtr dipole.

  • Its surprising how well they work! keep up the good work 73 Simon

  • Thanks for the comments, but i now have changed the 160mtr ant into a 80mtr ant, more activity on 80mtrs here in zl and vk.

Now having fun again on 80mtrs with my low antenna.

  • nice antennas mate always a fan of the system you use there. I am using CB equipment this way - should have some vids to see. I have wires strung around the garden too work a treat. 73 Richard

  • It works ok, the main thing is that it is resonent for the frequency.

Ofcourse it would be great to have it much higher off the ground.

I have worked stations upto about 500kms away with 5 by 9 signals ,and i am only using 100watts output power.

Still early days yet, there is an ssb 160mtr contest for zl/vk on the 7th of July so will test it out during that.

    73's from Jason ZL2FT.

  • How well does it work?
