Technically very simple song.. But I play this almost everyday... it's a song you can really put emotion in. And it depends on my mood how fast I play it :)
Awesome rendition, thank you. I'm learning this piece, at this is of great help.
I totally agree this feels better when slower than Tiersen plays it. Nevermind the slight "slip" at 2:03, I actually like your version better than the original :D
@TSRzero Thanks for sharing your thoughts! ^_^ I know I'm quite overdue for some new videos, but I have some really big projects in the works at the moment! I hope you'll enjoy them just as much! :)
@RedopLeOgnet Likewise! I hope to visit you in Argentina someday my friend! =D We can go on the streets and play some Tiersen for everyone, maybe brighten someone's day and make some people smile! ;)
@vladtepesdrac you know, last night I was in a disco where they have theme parties, that night they had organized some kind of french thing, and they were listening to A Quai and dancing all around... and today I was at some fountain where they play music and water flows (don't know exactly hot to call them) drop water following the beat of the music (the fountain and event is called "dancing waters") and they played l'valse d'Amèlie... that took many smiles out of me :)
I absolutely adore this piece as well as all the tiersen pieces you've played and transcribed. I'm only a beginner so a lot is challenging to me, so thank you!
@yubbadubbadubba We've all been there! As with everything, just keep at it! =D Wishing you all the best in your endeavours, with piano and all else that inspires you! ;)
@JollyJont Hey, how did learning Le Matin go? Hopefully it went well! Sorry for the late reply >_<! Le Matin is definitely a little more challenging simply due to the tempo, and the fast part can be a little tricky.
@lrvglansbeek Yes! I've always felt that he played this song too fast originally! Whenever I play it, slowing it down brings out all kinds of emotions! ^_^
very cool that you've learned the song by heart i'm myself a piano player i've played for 5 years now but you seem to like music by seeing the guitar in teh backround
Your play is very touching, I could listen it all of day (L) This is the next piece that I want to learn.. Not too difficult, but the emotion, awww.. by the way when did you start to play the piano? :)
Really great Vlad!! Your way of interpretation music from Tiersen is like an best ECHO. Including feelings, emotions of playing, knowledge, quality of sound&video...like a pearl on the crown.Keep it and TNX to share with us!!!
@bleacHfreakAur It's a Yamaha YDP-213 ! ^_^ Glad you like the sound, however I do quite a bit of post-processing to spice it up a little more, since the raw recorded version is quite flat sounding, so lots of EQ and some extra reverb help give the final version more personality!
So beautiful. First of all, I want to thank you for providing such a great song for me to listen to while I do my homework. Second, I want to thank you for providing sheet music so I can learn it. Keep up the nice work. Cheers!
I still love what your doing, helping many many people learn these beautiful songs with your skills! If your taking any requests on what to do next i might have to say Le valse des Montres and la boulange Please please!! we all will love you forever even more=)
Beautiful playing! And definitely thank you for your transcriptions!! Keep them going please. Helping many of us learn these beautiful pieces and mastering his poetic art work
hands of gold. definitely you play with alot more heart and emotion than the other big youtube tierson cover guy, dave thomas. good job. keep up the good work.
Hi, I love your videos both visually and musically. You have a really good tempo with the Yann Tiersens pieces, I often see others that stress the pieces, but you play them with a very good feeling.
I have started playing the piano and the first song I learned was Comptine d'un autre ete, and now I im learning 8mm. Can you recommend other pieces by Yann Tiersen that is good for beginners, like repetetive patterns for the left hand for an example. Thanks!
@JollyJont Hey! Thanks a lot for your wonderful comment! :) The best advice I can give is for you to check out some of my other Yann Tiersen covers. The ones I've done so far are fairly simple pieces that you shouldn't have any trouble learning. Most of the songs from the new Tabarly album are great (lots of repetitive left-hand stuff). All the sheet music is on my website too, so have a look on there! :) Let me know how it goes! keep in touch
Hi, can anybody tell me how you play the 'double' note for the left hand that occurs in the fourth 'little piece between lines'(can't translate this from dutch... MAAT/METRUM) Somebody please help me; i just don't know how to play it!
Te quería agradecer amigo Vlad por abrirme un nuevo espacio musical, este tema me partió la cabeza, pensé que no podría lograrlo, pero perseveré durante horas y días incansablemente y logré disociar los dedos al fin...me suena lindo hermano, y me siento feliz con lo poquito en mi rinconcito de vida, humildemente te doy las gracias por compartir la partitura de esta hermosa creación de Yann nuestro admirado maestro. omg this is brilliant vlad, i did a concert not to long ago, and i played this song as well as comtine dune autre ete , and can i say, you did brilliant.
