  • sounds like somebody p00ped in the garden....

  • i heard this in my dream last night and wrote it down not knowing what it was... I showed it to my band director and she was like "Oh that's Percy Grainger!" and i was like D: i knew it sounded like him... lol so now im upset that its not my own original composition.. still a great piece though.

  • no your an idiot this is not your place to speak. or to call me an idiot. this music sucks so shut up and mind your business go listin to marilyn manson or somethi and be crazy somewhere else let us big kids talk... people these days... so immature

  • cant say nothin now huh??

  • @MrLangersmith10 I can. You're an idiot. Just because there's one instrument, doesn't mean a thing. You have to be trolling for the sake of trolling, aren't you? I don't personally listen to much of this style, I'm more of a punk and rock musician and fan myself, but I still think that songs like this have their place. Not to mention this was recorded likely in the 50s to 60s.

  • if i did i bet id be TEN TIMES better then this clown

  • HORRIBLE. END OF DISCUSSION. DUDE GIVE UP ON THE PIANO...... PLEASE

  • @MrLangersmith10 Dude, the hell is wrong with you?! Percy Grainger is one of THE MOST REVOLUTIONARY PIANISTS THERE IS. You write, play, and transpose this to full band and then you can start talkin.

  • You'd hardly believe that the mawkish 'English Country Garden' sung by Jimmie Rodgers and Rolf Harris had descended from a piece of such vitality.

  • GOOD :)

  • I started learning this.. so when my hands fall off, I'll let you know...

  • Shout-out to whoever plays this in Wind Ensemble to warm up. (You know who you are.)

  • @SorenityVids This really spooked me. I play this in Symphonic Winds and I actually had this out on my phone during the time everyone was warming up. This was earlier today of course, but weird nonetheless.

  • @SorenityVids Yes. ALL day er' day.

  • I've been "haunted" by this song since fall of 1961. At some point before WWII Kindergarten teachers in the NYC system were required to play the piano. I remember one white haired lady of that vintage use to come into our kindergarten class and play this for us. It is one of my fondest and long-lasting memories of Kindergarten....

  • @rangerbud ~ Music Appreciation teacher, Mr Guy Vinopal introduced this melody to our Lafayette School 5G class in Wayne, NJ back in 1961 aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand it has haunted me too, most pleasantly! Left on my own, I probably would have preferred listening to 77 WABC wanting to hear "Barbara Ann" by The Regents! It's ALL good!

  • From a time when England ruled the world!

Why not the new leadership of a socially just nation under the care of Prime Minister Miliband?

    Anton in France

  • @anton83320 Grainger was Australian

  • @RidinHighSince89 Australian is English so same same.

  • Just naturally a wonderful song :D

  • This is just wonderful. :)

  • Oh yeah i'm almost able to perform this!!! and i learnt it completely by myself, no piano teacher

  • Great Tempo! Bravo.

  • When I was a lad we used to sing a song called "What do you do if you can't find a loo in an English Country Garden?" to this tune.
