First, ofcourse, it was a book. I remember seeing it in the house when I was little, but didn't know what it was about.

@amuslima99 yeah i remember my step mom had it in her library. back in the late 60's I was too young to get it. I am just reading it now.An eye opener. never knew about the holocaust till 1968 and being jewish that is sad I guess

Powerful movie. James Whitmore does a superb acting job illicting the follies, stupidities, and Bass quality of Racism.

I remember reading this book in high school. I know this man was glad when he turned back white, b/c things got a lot better 4 him! He had a chance to really see firsthand that it jus wasn't cool to b black in those days! what was he thinkin n e way?! He was askin 4 trouble!

This is one powerful movie! You would never think that a white man from the south(Texas) turn his skin dark and cut his hair to look African-American,traveled the southern states to learn about "what it is like to feel discrimanated by white people.
