In Japan, There are a lot of clear day in winter on the Pacific Ocean side.
Ise is near the Pacific Ocean, so a fine day continues and it isn't so cold that it freezes. Osaka and Tokyo are a similar climates to Ise. In contrast, it snows a lot in winter on the Sea of Japan side (on the north). Have a nice weekend!
Thank you! This is January 6, 2007. The Ise Shrine is the head of the Shinto shrine in Japan. Goddess of the Sun is enshrined there. It is symbolized by the Japanese national flag. This is called "Hatsumoude". Most Japanese people go and worship at a Shinto shrine in every region of Japan. This is like New Year Worship for you. But, we only pray with our hands joined in front of a shrine. Of course, I wished for my family's health and happiness.
