  • no i got one ligther :)

  • @komdankut you are wrong. that bike weights 13,50kg on the floor, down the hill or even under the water.

  • How did you managed to fit the XTR cranks on that frame? Which BB did u used?

  • Nope. Gwin's is 26.

  • it would be like so squirmy to ride

  • but will it blend??

  • I know a Santa-Cruz V-10 which weight's 13.45kg!

  • my bike is lighter than yours, and it can go down hills.

  • Nice bike but I can't see it being any good for dh at that weight. I don't think I'd go under 36lbs for any dh bike.

  • What is your rear cassette, how many speeds is it and how much $ was it?

  • you would probolby get it lighter with sram xo dh cranks and chainguard. And gear that would be better from xo... And yeah boxxer`s lighter thant fox 40. but the no chain guard thing is just stupid... And whats the pedals (really look like the new specialized 10mm comming in 2013? )

  • Im prbally right by saying the xtr cranks are about 28 lbs of the weight :/

  • The Boxxer up front is half the weight...

  • xtr cranks?

    how?

  • all mountain parts, 160mm (cross country)brakes etc... not a real good doh bike!!

  • Isn't the lightest DH bike just an AM bike?

  • @appa609 dude it's a trek session it is a downhill bike

  • i could break that. ill stick with the beefy foes from pasadena ca.

  • doode, its on XC stuff so of course it will be light, but will it be any good at DH?

  • GET OUT.

  • All you did is pull the scale to like 50lbs and then just set it to zero.... :)

  • clean!!!

  • Yeah, you are right......the stock Voltage fr 10 is around 15 kg.

  • U need weight for stability.never stay on ur line Anyone over 10 stone would soon trash it.

  • @boggybigpants "10 stone" ?

  • iron horse ftw

  • dry weight haha

  • that front rotor looked pretty small

  • Well that's really not so strange......... the most expensive Scott Voltage has 9 kg stock.

  • @SuperBigboy1985 don't think so, bud

  • You don't want to have a light downhill bike. You will have no control and it will have terrible handling. And another thing u don't put a xc crank set on a dh bike u are asking for a snapped spindle.

  • @BikinDan95 Fabien Barel uses xtr crank on his mondraker summum.

no control?let's try a light dh bike and then you can speak

  • @GloryOfTheKing ya but arent xtr ment for cross country a light downhill bike means that the parts may malfunction and of fail and two the bike will be all over the place on handling its like ridding a cross country bike with only 4 inch step up down a double black diamond yes u can do it but u will just kill ur bike

  • so lite.... soooooooo fragile.

  • @OutspokinBicycles

definetly not so fragile...I love my little light baby <3 xD

mine is arround 18kg with fox 40s

  • hoooommoooo

  • how so light

  • is that a 88 or a 8

  • @mtbconor It's an 88

  • how is it so light

  • how did you get the xtr to fit a 83mm bb?

  • @tlinski With another shell.

the shell only needs to fix with Shimano cranks ;)

  • i have one not that one but

  • i have one

  • is there any changes

  • Nice Trek Session 88

  • i think i've read about this in a forum... awesome bike! Boxxer really is lighter than a Fox. I think this is not fake... But actually even if this bike weighs 36lb or so. I still love this Trek Session 88 - my dream bike, "as of now" ^^

  • size S small really help, 180 mm front disk, a bit too small and no bash guard under LG1

  • that's no bike for hucking, it's for going fast on wc tracks..

    got a session88, too, sooo sick !!

  • lol fake or whatever the lightest dh bike is made from mondraker ( ca. 15 kg)

    trek session 88 dh 2010 : ca. 17-18 kg

  • @mofahoin my 88 is 16,5kg! you 17-18kg is just the standard!

  • very impressive, but its all just a weight to strength to $ ratio, i wouldent go huck a 40 ft with a bike that light.

my point, you could get carbon fiber xc components and call it a dh bike but its not strong enough

  • insanely light! how he managed that?
