Where did u get the wings and what model are they off of? And how did u do the magnet on ur model I love that idea. Cuz I'm just paint them and put them up I don't play the game.
Okay, how did you prevent floppy limbs? I have all but given up on my plans for bearing-magnet joints because of it. I'm using N50 3mm x 1 mm disc magnets, for reference.
@romorini in each wing there are 4 manets with oposite polarity magnet in the hive tyrants body! looooots of work geting them lined up. But i used the same sizes as you
they aqre awsome these are the best models i have ever seen its a crime just to call them warriors u should also use the beefiest 2 - 3 as tyrant guard
@fizhermanz never fear, i have a painting tutorial! it will show you step by step how to paint your bugs, like mine. that webbing on the bac is a little more complicated, in fact i wouldn't do it again lol
Did anyone tell you that you are a God Of Modeling, Seriously your skills in conversion, painting and ingenuity with the ideas you come up with are paramount to anything I've seen. Please keep up the good work. Thankyou
@wingclaws in total with conversion and painting, the hive tyrant took about 22 hours. It was a labor of love for sure. Sold that model for 150.00 dollars though YAY!!! haha
@steveprimebot I admire your dedication so much - but - surely £6.81 dollars perhour is not that good, when considering the cost of the model, magnet, green stuff, ball bearing, paint, glue etc etc. Unless of course you weren't trying to make money? Great job though. Much Kudos.
Great videos! Did you have any problems with the ballbearings when attaching them to the arms? Also do the arms stay in position? Keep it up, Cheers! :)
nope the ball bearings stick good to the arms and dont move unless i move them. only problem is that the paint wears off over time. but it is easily repainted
Were the Ballbearings attached with greenstuff? How about the deapth of the holes for the magnets. Any details on how the arm fits into the arm-socket?
And why 4 magnets on the wings? did you fit four on the body for them to attach to as well? :)
its actually not very difficult, i just carve down the warrior heads with and exacto knife and smoothe them with a file. the fists are just stock biovore (series 2) arms
May I post a video response of my 1st conversion?
It's a Hive Tyrant torso with a Centipede neck :3

mmmmmm... I never thought about ball bearings for my magnet nids, did you use 1/4 or 1/8 inch magnets?
duuu2112 2 years ago
mostly 1/8" but on the monsterous creatures i used 1/4"
steveprimebot 2 years ago
Really impressive! I would love to have Nids of that quality.
I am about to use magnets for the first time on my first metal mini the Hive Tyrant.
Any suggestions on what to use?
A more in depth video on the products used would be fantastic.
CodyGocke 2 years ago
I buy my magnets from k&j magnetics online about 25.00 for 100! i buy the ball bearings from ace hardware which are even cheaper about .15 cents.

i really want to see more of those warrior conversions. they look really like the classic tyrant guards. how did u make them and with what.
Dinobot2468 2 years ago
its actually not very difficult, i just carve down the warrior heads with and exacto knife and smoothe them with a file. the fists are just stock biovore (series 2) arms
steveprimebot 2 years ago
cool. ill get 3 warrions and customise them to look like tyrant guards. did u make them into tyrant guards.
Dinobot2468 2 years ago
no, just stock warriors
steveprimebot 2 years ago
wow those gaunt heds are really effective!
PePethegamesmaker 2 years ago
gaunt heads are really too small, i used the warrior heads but just carved their head carapace down.
steveprimebot 2 years ago
awesome job! 5 stars! you used hormagaunts heads on these warriors? very unique gj
aDreamOfWolves 2 years ago
actually i didn't i cut off the back ends of warrior heads with an exacto knife and smoothed them out with files. thank you though. :D
steveprimebot 2 years ago
Very nice conversion with the magnets....but why did you use 4 magnets in each socket? Do u need that for the ball bearing to work?
magnusf2 2 years ago
ya, they still stick but are only posable with 4 magnets otherwise, they just droop down all the time.
