thats a good idea, but is it easy for the seatbelt retractor to cope with the extra thickness of the belt?

That's a great idea. It'll encourage a lot more people to wear seat belts. Ford's always looking ahead.

Neat idea. So does anyone have an answer for how much more this will cost than a regular seatbelt and does the belt need to be buckled for it to go off???
