Back in 86 in Venezia Italy only one record store carried RAP, and i couldnt get hold of this record so i had to make do with the 12" version. Wicked tune!
When you get a minute, please check out my OTHER Video channel called:

There are a LOT of inspirational messages from Bishop T.D Jakes, Bishop Noel Jones, Dr. Jamal Bryant, as well as complete episodes of my favorite TV shows like "TV One's Unsung", "I hate Chris" etc....You'll also find videos of my favorite music artist's like Marvin Gaye, Enchantment, Al Green & Gospel Music !
this joint STILL BUMPZ! Want proof? Let any DJ drop this at any party (club, wedding, bar mitzva, etc.) and watch people flood the dance floor! This joint will forever be the BANGA!
Stop Dissin the Young ones and their music. It's not fair. We have to remember that when this came out for us. Our parents didn't understand what we were going though neither. I not saying that I like artist such as Lil' Wayne or Soulja Boy. Because I don't.
@Smokeshadey: But the thing is guys like Doug E. Fresh, Biz Markie and the other golden age barely got the sort of mainstream coverage Lil' Wayne and current guys do now. Rap music has had an outlaw rep before lame cats like MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice made it big.
ABSOLUTEL!!!! THEY ALL SHOULD KNOW IF YOU WEREN'T A TEEN IN THIS ERA............DAMN IT YOU MISSSSED IT! 4 REAL....Someone pleeeze tell these other cats today that EVERYTHING that's hip 2day...WAS ALREADY DONE SON...
This was a good time in music. Dougie fresh always put on a great show. Even when he was not the headline act. I saw a show at Madison Square Garden, Dougie and Slick Rick had not even come on stage yet. Chill will and Barry (the DJs) stole the show. He was doing the dougie back in 85.
Saw Dougie do this live yesterday and he still tears the stage into pieces! Had the whole crowd moving and dancing! They had the nerve to put the kids who made the stanky leg, after him! You could hear a pin drop when they got on stage! And a pin drop when they left the stage! They need to make legends, not here today, gone the same day music!
all the young kids today need to be schooled on the true roots of hip hop- rakim-krs one- big daddy kane, and be shown WHAT true hip hop is! Def not the shit they listen to, its crap!
@onemarilynfan True - you also can't leave out a much more ancient point of origin as well. There would be no MCs today (even the garbage ones) without the rhymes and beats that were laid down CENTURIES AGO (yes, you heard right) by ancient Griots and Court Drummers who performed in front of Ancient African royalty. The difference now is this: the Griots and Court Drummers and Revolutionaries have been pushed out and the Court Jesters and Village Idiots have been given center stage.
@chj2 And when will (OR who?) they get there IS a portion of the population who would love to hear some real rap/hip-hop?I have given up completely on it. After Biggie died,I was done,it seemed like that was around the time that this crappy 'crunk' style lil wayne shit took over. I cant stand it. Now I sound like some old lady (35!) saying, this new music sucks, you kids don't know what music is! I am quite proud of my kids, they pretty much listen to old music.(damn, my gen is now 'old'!)
Which Doug E. Fresh song has a GUITAR solo and the words alligator and refrigerator in it?????????
