  • @RUSSIAlovesBROOKLYN This tutorial is posted on Itunes now.

  • @tjw1963 thank you

  • I really want to make these. I am a beginner so this video is really hard for me:( thanks anyways!

  • @turnermom1 I can send you a beginner playlist so you learn the basic stitches.

  • are there written instructions for these they are very cute-Thank you-Debi

  • @elementalheiress There is a link to the written instructions in the video details below the video

  • Thank you so much for your video. I am 20 and a novice crocheter, but, thanks to you, I was able to make these slippers for my niece to be. I would not have been able to do it without your step-by-step instuctions. God bless you!

  • How can I make this bootie larger? Should I use a bigger crochet hook?

  • @EricaKassner A larger crochet hook will work to make it slightly larger. If you need it considerable larger, the whole pattern will need modified.

  • @tjw1963 My daughter's foot is 5" long. I think I'll just add 5 extra chains to everything and see what happens. If nothing else I'll learn from my mistakes.

  • Kia Ora can you pls give instructions how to make the pattern bigger? I don't know how to read patterns I just come to your site and follow what you do. I've made my daughter some really cool stuff and now she wants a pair of slippers for around the house. Help would be much appreciated.

  • I need your help to figure out how to make this slipper for a newborn with a 4-ply cotton-yarn, it's a very fin yarn so i'll be using two at the same time and a size E crochethook. Would be SO greatful if you could help...thanks in advance!

  • I do have one question. Which yarn is best for summer seasons?

  • Hi I love ur tutorial! I think all pple should learn to crochet, and put their lil ones in them! Its so much more delicate then store b bought items, plus mommy did them so u know they were done with lots of love

  • Hi... one question.. When I do my half double croches on the back loop only, it happens that my "edge" is made in the inside of the shoe and not at the outside. What am I doing wrong? :p xxxx

  • i just finished my first pair! they look soooo adorable! thanks so much for sharing!

  • Thanks but nevermind :) I figured it out after taking a break, coming back and watching the video again.

  • It's really hard to see how your doing the foundation stitches at the very begining. You're my go to person for everything chrochet. And i've made tons of items using your videos and for the first time, I cant figure out how your starting it. It's hard to see what loops your starting the second foundation in. Is there another video that I can use or instructions to get a better understanding of how your starting the foundation.

  • wait how many foundation stitches???( the first step before round 1 second side.)

  • @shylarae08 The whole pattern would need modified

  • Hi Teresa! Could you do a tutorial on a baby pod/sack for photos? I sent you a message about it a few weeks ago. I'd really love to learn.

  • Hi Teresa, your slippers are so adorable!!! Going to make my grandbaby a pair, maybe two pair :) What color of yarn did you use. I think the right color makes the difference. It looks to be a beige, I bought Red Heart 2327 Sandstone.

I really appreciate your instr. Your a very good instructor. It's so nice to sit in the comfort of your own home, for a crochet lesson.

  • my booties always turn out so huge even after i follow step by step

    it's very frustrating

  • @leavethecatsalone Keep practicing and you will learn how to control the size of your stitches.

  • Hi Teresa i was just wondering if it was okay to sale finished items?

  • @saliutube Yes, you can sell your finished work

  • Love these booties. Would like to make myself a pair. Any suggestions.

  • @shortboys3 The whole pattern will need to be modified.

  • Would love to make a pair for myself. Any suggestion?

  • on your video you start with chain 3 but on the written pattern it says to chain 9 which do I do ?

  • @bettyboopNL The written instructions are providing two ways to start the slipper. Both ways will work.

  • Could you do a child size tutorial or advise on size hook to use? Trying to make one to fit UK size 13?

  • Would it work and fit without buttons?

  • @YaoiAndPockyLover Yes, you could sew the strap in place. There should be enough stretch that you can slip it on.

  • I made two pairs of Mary Jane slippers. They look great. Thanks so much, you are such a great teacher.

  • @sampathit What colors did you use?

  • I used white color for slipper and I crochet buttons using pink :-) Both look great. Thanks so much again. I learned crochet from your videos.

  • okay soo uh i realize that you usually buy baby clothes a tad bit larger then the baby should be ex i bought a dress for my sisters baby its for a 6 month old but a baby could be a bit larger then that and perhaps wear that dress at 4 months or so. I was basically just wondering how then I should go about sizing these booties? I have yarn to match a little dress and it is a 6 month dress and i want the booties to match it soo any help would be appreciated. Maybe just an appropriate size hook?

  • @bubblyblonde174 You can adjust the size by using a larger or smaller crochet hook.

  • The slow motion part is great!

  • I love all ur creations, and as my family gets bigger each time, they turn to me for some beautiful creations. Gracias for such lovely videos.

  • I DID IT! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY

  • cute, but bad 4 beginners.

  • @upssup05 I do have a lot of beginner projects. You can find a beginner playlist on my main channel.

  • @upssup05 I think it's good for beginners aswell - these boots were one of the first things I ever made when I learned how to crochet about a year ago, and I'm not even english :) And now I'm making them again, I love them! :D xxx

  • hi just wanted to know if this patter could be done for adults is there a patter ?

  • Why do you first chain 2 here but chain 3 in your other video? - Chainless Half Double Crochet Foundation

  • @josiepm Which video are you referring to that I chain 3 in?

  • @tjw1963 This one: youtube.com/watch?v=AEBR6SCt8IA

  • @josiepm I have since revised the amount of chains that I use.

  • thank you very much for your great video

  • thank you vert much for your greet videos

I have succeeded finally, thanks to you! Yayyyyyyyy!!!!!

  • Wow, best video on booties yet. I thoroughly enjoy your style of teaching and know I will be spending way too much time on your site!

Thank you for your time and talent.

  • I appreciate the comment, thank you.

  • Excellent directions!!

  • Thank you.

  • are there any other ways or designs for the toe part of the shoe? i just hate the 12 stitches because it is SOOOOOOO hard to do and mines dont come out right...i was wondering if there are any other ways to make it?

  • That has to be the most adorable thing....great video=)

  • Thank you for the comment.

  • i've been making a couple pairs of booties and watching this, these dont seem so hard anymore. I'm going to make a pair or two of these too. I just dont know who to give them to. hahaha

  • I like making bootys myself and don't have anyone to give them to. Someone on my FaceBook page made these with two colors and they turned out really cute. I like to see the embellishments that everyone adds to them.

  • Hi Phaythful,

Most hospitals welcome these homemade gifts for newborns and pediatric patients. I'm sure your talents would be appreciated!

  • It's a wonderful video - you are the best. Just finished crocheting my first pair of booties! And they look nice!

    Thanks!

  • I appreciate the comment, thank you.

  • I love this. Your way of doing the foundation makes it look nicer. I tried this one also using a written pattern.

Can you give some pointers on how to calculate the stiches to fit diffent sizes. I read something about the gage calculation where 1 in =6.75 stiches and 1 in =6.5 rows. How do I calculate that for a size 7 shoe.

    You are the best.

  • You are correct that with gauge, you can calculate(guesstimate) how many stitches you may need when you are using different size hooks and yarn. Each person will have a different crochet tension and style so the end count is going to be different with each person.

  • omg! i just finished crocheting these shoes and they came out ADORABLE! im going to crochet to more pairs and use them on my new puppy for christmas!!!

  • How did your puppy like the slippers? Did you take a picture? Please share on my FaceBook page if you took a picture.

    Thank You!!!!!!!!!!

  • You are welcome.

  • Its so cute. I made my finish product as a key chain for my bag. thank you so much. It looks great. ^_^

  • I'm a beginner at crochet (started about 4 days ago)

i have tried these many times and at 8.00 my crochet is very rectangular and pointy instead of a smooth oval that yours is

how can i get it more oval???

  • I use Boye brand crochet hooks. I know there are some very good metric crochet hooks over in Europe with the same shape as Boye. You can check online or check your local craft store to see if the have another type of hook. Ebay often has hooks.
