hey my friend not bad i love your training routines, i could hold deep horse stance for 5min 30 sec and that in 2 weeks but i stopped. i ll start again do you do kung uf???
@sg04f The background music is the shop music from Zelda: Ocarina of time. If you google Zreomusic you should be able to find the site with the music.
@ForeverDorian I think doing exercises that resemble this as closely as possible would be better. Maybe try using a step or a wall for assistance to get used to the exercise. For me, I just slowly built up my time. I started with only 5 secs to begin with. I just did sets of 5sec reps until I could hold it for longer.
ive been training for a few days now and i can only do the frog stand for about 15 seconds then i lose balance but i can last about 36seconds in the proper horse stance, what kind of strength increase can i expect if i train everyday for a month say?
It's hard to say because strength increases will differ from person to person.
But to keep things simple... I think you can get a lot done in a month. One thing that helped me is varying the intensity level often.
e.g.Cycle between hard days, medium days, and easy days. This is important if you are wanting to train everyday with similar exercises. I found that if you train to your limit everyday you will probably hit the wall a lot sooner and not progress as fast.
@ss4vegeto1 I think it could help in developing the strength for a handstand but if your goal is to do a handstand then I think more specific handstand training would be much better.
Your video rocked , dude! WOW! I can't even imagine doing what you did in this video, but it really gives me a goal or marker to aim for. Thanks a lot!
hey. like the kid below me i am looking for a good calisthenics workout and it looks like you know what your talking about. i recently have stopped lifting weights and want to get into calisthenics but there isnt a workout to be seen anywhere! if u could help me out thatd be awesome man

I'v been trying these on and off for about 3 weeks now- considering my height, and total lack of balance- I'm proud to have achieved 15 seconds!

If I'm not able to do this apparently simple exercise, what should I do to help? Push ups?

Is there a point to this exercise? What does doing it accomplish?
mcdade10 2 years ago
Well, as you get stronger you start doing harder variations of the exercise which will eventually lead to a full planche.
If a full planche is something you want to accomplish then the point of this exercise is to gradually build up your strength to achieve it.

zelda shop music ftw! what kind of training schedule are you following?
shizzlebiskit3rd 2 years ago 3
Yeah bro haha!
I practise my static and strength exercises 3 times a week.
I usually stick with 4 exercises: Press, Pull, Core, and Legs.
This one is my pressing exercise (once I get to the planche variations).
I'm spreading all this over about 6 months, and hopefully by then I can do a full planche!
bongobear43 2 years ago
dude I just did like 120 psuedo pushups every day, thats how I got to tuck planche, dont give up!
