@HaloElitesrule no. Kojima said in an interview for this months edition of Playstation magazine that there will be a MGS5. Metal Gear Rising doesn't even have "solid" in it. Heck, it is even called lightning bolt action. Not tactical espionage action. And, besides that, Kojima productions said MGR is a spin-off.

@stinkyleko it is in sorts a spinoff, the title will now be Metal Gear, rather than Metal Gear Solid. However Rising does take place between the games of MGS2 and MGS4 , so we can only hope that Inaba and PlatinumGames doesnt do something to F*** it all up. And in my honest opinion there hasn't been enough released gameplay to really freak out over a gameplay upset. HOWEVER, after looking at some footage of their popular games, im not left feeling optimistic.

I Personally prefer thed MGS2 Theme song.

BUT, This is 1997, they didn't have Windows XP or sound mixer software or hardware capable of doing the masterpiece of MGS2. So I would say that MGS2 Won, but MGS1 had fewer technology to make it sound better.

This reminds me of good MGS, i hate to say it but since MGS3 i personally thought, it is a dieing brand, which kill's me, MGS4 was kinda like saying 'Okay we have a blue ray disc epic graphics etc etc what are we gonna do with snake...we'll kill him off' Then they started concentrating on Bullshit PSP, Then to rub salt in the wound they are bringing RISING To xbox. Konami, game after rising, make it so Snake grows younger has flash backs, becomes stronger, bring him back, bring T.E.A back..x

@neopathic actually,I thought MGS3 was one of the best MGS series,but MGS AC!D really sucked,and THAT was when MGS started to die,how the HELL it got a sequel,I will never know,but when MGS4 released,that was the epitomy of pure unconcentrated epic,I love Snake,but he knew from the beginning it wasn't going to be easy,and when faced with death,he still fought,and while I would love to see snake brought back,to do such would be cheap,and he deserves his rest,hopefully Raiden won't suck.

@neopathic Well, MGS1 isn't on Xbox, and the HD Collection gives the people who CAN'T get a Playstation (or in my case, my broken-ass PS3 that everybody refuses to fix) to play some of the best Metal Gear Solid titles to date, and learn the legendary history of Solid and Naked Snakes (along with a cameo from Silver the Hedgehog).
