- fan power if the comics and toys and all other Transformers related merchandise are still huge in terms of money making

- lastly ultimately it will be down if those corporate cheeses at Hasbro will allow it and if Paramount or another film distribution company will do it with a director

@fungboy3 Hasbro have already announced they wouldn't mind doing a reboot, as long as another director is willing to step up and perform. The TF fans obviously want another live action TF movie but one the bay-verse is the most popular right now but very unlikely to happen (as M.B said he didn't want to do another TF movie). Money isn't much of a worry because of the amount accumulated from TF 3 partly going 2 the film companies. So really it all depends if another director will do the job.

Spielburg could possibly be the new director, and Jason Statham could possibly be the new character, not Sam, but a new character. And it works out well with Jason because he's currently engaged to Rosie Huntington-Whitely.

@SonicandLPForever No one has said it is the last Transformers movie, with all the money it is making it would be stupid not to make another especially if it is being praised as the best one so far, which i agree with. There have actually been talks about another trilogy by one of the producers so sit tight, im sure we will be hearing soon that there is another movie in the works, it just may not be made by Micheal Bay or have Shia in it but hey we will see what happens.

@Jammed9000 Oh, absolutely. I've argued this a thousand times, the first movie had iconic music, music you hum while walking down the street, the tunes you remember. The second movie had only incidental music, music that helped set the tone of what was going on in the movie, but wasn't exactly memorable, or too pleasing to the ear. The third movie went back to the form the first one set, and gave us memorable tunes.

What bugged me was the collector's edition for Dark of the Moon was Blu Ray only. Not all of us can afford hyper expensive Blu Ray players and HD TV's, and my PS3's disc drive BROKE after less than a month. Ruined my set. TF1 and ROTF, both double disc. DOTM, single disc version..

The viewer isn't gonna do their homework and study aspects of the franchise to enjoy the film. In any story, you need to explain something that crucial to the plot, not hide it in obscure outside reading material. Otherwise you fail as a storyteller.
