just got this CD- and it's so good it's nuts, JV's playing is in a whole new 'old' zone, completely personal, and Lou Ann and the band are just as good. not a drop of overdrive or reverb anywhere to be seen- just total soul power.

wow. i've been listening to JV since 'Girls Go Wild' and seen him dozens of times over the years- this is some of his best of all time, taking the Jimmy Reed Highway thang and applying it to his own sound.

can't say enough, so i'll stop.
