  • These are NOT British Para members, they are re-enactors who do a nice job of displaying WW2 uniforms and equipment as they would have been during Op Market garden. So just people who have an interest in dressing up and showing a bit of living history

  • and they march just like 1 para in and out of Arnhem, god bless

  • believe it or not the parachute regiment used to be a commando brigade before it was turned into the para reg, thats probs why u see green berets in amongst em

  • Notice they are being drilled by ROYAL MARINES COMMANDOS! >:)

  • 0:01 Spot the marine:)

  • HAHA! I KNEW IT! the British invented the camera first! rofl

  • when was this taken? 1945? lol

  • Get this right - yes they are re-enactors, mainly Brits but there were Dutch there as well as one Norwegen and an American who was a US serviceman in Germany. Many were currant or ex service men one an ex Para officer, some would go on to be injured in future conflcts one loosing part of a foot in Afghan and another part of his hand in Army bomb disposel. My son also a re-enactor is at this momment serving in Afghan with the Brit Army. How do I know? I was on this march - were you SMAT01S?

  • that cycleist must of been so confused! haha

  • its a re-enactor outing.

  • Nobby and Farrah the Para are up there... watching...Inspectin'. Taking names.

  • I must go there and joun them!!!!

  • Awesome!

  • Are they modern day Para Reg done up as WW2 Paras?

  • Looks like it yea

  • yeh mate they are

  • '2 Para battalion' - you know FA.

  • NO! they're not! I attend arnhem yearly for the market garden commemeration. They're simply dutch civvies dressed up. Notice some of the random cap badges on their berets.

  • Quite a few are British as well, there are also some in there who are ex-army/paras.

But the majority is made up of re-enactors.

  • Definately all re-enactors, no ex reg bloke would be seen dead doing this!

  • @hughieadams and why is that ?

  • @Cokecakepopcorn Well because it is all a bit sad really isn't it. Having said that, the bloke who gave me a lift in his ww2 jeep back to Haarskamp at 3am after I had jumped into Arnhem and that got minging was a top bloke lol

  • @hughieadams I could guess kids would find it sad but adults wouldn't, unless the reinactment was made a joke then I am sure people who are or were in the military wouldn't find it sad.

showing history, being proud and having fun isn't sad.

  • These are military re-enactment people from the annual Arnhem commemorations that take place in Holland each September. There's HUNDREDS of 'em. I've never met one with any link with the Regiment in real life. They're an odd bunch to be honest, but each to his own!

  • Actors!!

  • They're not British paratroopers, are they? Must be some sort of re-enactment folk judging by the look of them. Christ on a bike! That cyclist looks seriously perplexed.

  • re-enactment? film? what is this? cool!

  • its a rememberance service for the servicemen who fought in Operation Market Garden in World War Two. I was there last year because my regiment was the only armoured regiment to reach Arnhem. Shame it was too late though

  • Sorry but they are British Para troopers in ww2 kit. Can you amend the title please.

  • Sure, i guess you are right :-)

  • hehe dobre

  • I dont where your from lad but these original men where heroes's
