Dr. Stanley is a true gem of wisdom! As a student of ministry, I feel blessed to be able to listen to men of God like Dr. Stanley and gain critical insight to be able to tackle the fiery darts Satan will throw my way...
You know, I read all the comments below, and I just have to shake my head in wonder. So many "armchair" preachers, who know the lingo, but still just don't get it. So many who are "experts" of the bible. They spout out scripture and sling around passages like they fully grasp the concepts behind it all. It's really pathetic. They don't get it, and never will. That is what makes Dr. Stanley so good. All of you who fit this discription, just say "thanks" and listen to him.
Charles Stanley is a dangerous heretic who teaches once-saved-always-saved. Many former born-again Christians are burning in Hell right now because of Stanley's demonic OSAS teachings. They thought that because they were born-again, that they could sin and get away with it because Charles Stanely taught them OSAS. Do not be deceived...the Bible teaches ALL sinners, including sinning hypocrite Christians, will be cast into the Lake of Fire.
To those who believe, remember one thing: You will be judged of Judgement you think! You do not have all the elements of the life of this man, so make sure, before judging this servant of God, to be inspired by the Holy Spirit
I am French and my English is certainly not very good since I use google translation to write here. However, I am surprised at the ease with which many have stoned this man of God who lived a divorce after 44 years of marriage! How easy it is to judge! you do not seem strange that a man who preaches the word of God with balance, strength, courage, and whose sermons are building thousands of Christians, may end up with this terrible ordeal at the end of his life?
What an inspiring interview. Charles Stanley is not a 'name it and claim it' prosperity preacher who we see too frequently on TV. I have seen much of his preaching, but this video shows a more personal side of him. What a lovely man, who is serving a great God.
"...forgiveness, I don't hold it against you anymore, ..." I've been trying to figure out what forgiveness means for so long. This is so simply stated that I get it now. LOL
No matter how far one drifts away after being saved, nothing can take away the fact that salvation did happen! I can sell pizza for just one day and nothing in the years after will change the fact that once I sold pizza. Dr. Stanley, a full Ph. D., knows of what he speaks. I totally disagree with 34craigian of 2 days ago posting.
I'm a christian and enjoy many things that this man shares but disagree with his preaching on salvation . He believes in "once saved, always saved" which is unbiblical. The bible gives us so many signs so we won't fall into this delusion that once we're genuinely saved that we can never depart from it and wind up back on the broad path. Just read Ezekiel 18, Romans 6,8, 1st John, and Hebrews 10-12. Its not about "asking"Jesus for forgiveness but through repentance and a working faith.God bless!
@34craigjan i disagree also.On so many occasions we can se in the Bible that God keeps us always and no matter what.We can lose rewards(as the Bible says)but we cant lose salvation. How could one know if he sinned that much to lose salvation?Jesus said forgive not 7 but 7 times 77 times.
@MrUrosSrb Amen, God is forgiving and merciful but He commands all to repent(Acts 17:31,Luke 13:3,5) or we will face His wrath, christian or not. We are commanded to forgive one another since we are the creation and not capable of condemning. If we call ourselves Christians, we must walk in holiness and obedience to God(Hebrews 12:14, 5:9) enduring to the end to be saved. I love Dr Stanley's talks but don't think he's telling the whole truth to people. We need to understand God's character.
@34craigjan That verse about enduring isnt talking about salvation if u look at the full context.
Look at Hebrews 13:5,John 6:37,Ephesians 4:30,John 5:24.They all support once saved always saved.Think about it.If God keeps you,how can you stray from salvation.
@34craigjan And why you think God would cast you out if u fallen into sin,we are humans,we can fall for sin, thats why Jesus work on the cross already payed in full. There is no logic in saving peopleand than throwing them away. That doesnt fit to the character of a Loving God.And by saying you lose salvation you make God a liar because he promised eternal salvation to anyone who believes in his Son.And God certainly is not a liar.
@MrUrosSrb the bible also says if any man shall draw back or depart from the faith, God shall take no pleasure in him. Hebrews 10 says that if we sin willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins and that we trample the blood of Jesus under our foot. Christ's atonement only applies to those who have repented, trusted in Christ and live for Him.
@MrUrosSrb Peter also said that if we were converted but yet turned away from the holy commandment, it would be better if we never knew it. Like a dog returning to his own vomit. That's very similar to Ezekiel 18 as well. "Without holiness no man shall see the Lord"(Heb 12:14). Of course you can lose salvation. We have freewill and that's why we'll be judged if we don't remain in Christ. That's why Jesus said in Matt 7:21-23 that MANY will come to me and I will tell them, depart from Me.
@34craigjan and he will tell them Depart from me,I never knew you.He wont tell them Depart from me I knew u but i lost you.He says they were never saved.Peace.
@34craigjan Its better that we didnt knew it i agree, but that doesnt imply that salvation is lost,Jesus said believers will NEVER perish.NEVER means NEVER.And u should read where Paul says that God will give unobedient Christians for destruction of the flesh to Satan,so that the SPIRIT MAY BE SAVED.Nowhere is sugessted that we lose salvation. As for holyness,Holyness is attained through faith in Jesus. Not throught your working on salvation.God bless you too.
Great interview. My first time seeing it today. Dr. Stanley is incredible in so many ways. Been following him for the last 5 years. The man is SO genuine. I had the pleasure to meet him at his book signing 2 days ago (July 5th, 2011). It was only for a few seconds, but I felt his love for God in that short time. I could go on and on about Dr. Stanley, but I'll just leave it at this... 'Thank you, Dr. Stanley, for all you do. You've truly opened my eyes to Jesus'.
I absolutely love this! Whenever I come to a dry spell in my spiritual walk with Christ, I know that I can listen to Dr. Stanley and he leads me back to the road with the good Lord. May he be blessed with many more years of service.
Dr. Stanley is the person who most inspire me except Jesus Christ. I'm 15 years old and he made me realize the true meaning of being a follower of Christ. He led me to the God of Love and uprooted me from atheism, against Satan's reluctance. He taught me how to have peace through his books and sermons on intouch.org.
I really enjoyed this interview. What a witness and a man of God. I am glad to be listening to In-Touch as often as I have. Thank you Dr. Stanley for your work and testimony.
Dr. Stanley is one pastor on TV that I've never heard say anything contrary to scripture. It's amazing how rare this kind of person is.

We all know too well that all courts, lawyer's , the legal system is so distructive
and they take all things to much higher levels than anyone would ever think of
and we all are victims when it comes to Divorce.
