really nice job, how did you get the clouds in the vortex? My version is just a poly tube with a cloud texture in, I tried to add some 3D clouds but with no luck (I'm using maya)
@JamesPDower Thats actually really hard to do, and I hated the result. First I had to take particle flow, and attach it to the "cylynder" then I had to have a force rotate the particles, then I had to cache it into Krakatoa, and bend to the path I wanted, then bring it back into particle flow. Then I had to get Afterburn to make the clouds.. and I love the clouds, but this vortex in my opinion is my worst one ever.
My V5 vortex (which I havent released yet) is a polygon tube
This is very good, but I actually prefer your V3. Lol. I love the boat and planes in that one's vortex. Like they came through the Bermuda Triangle or some shit.

@pokemonsecretwonders I spent about an hour modeling one, then duplicated it, changed the scale on em and put em into random spins... They are by far not accurate to the show, but for this sequence they looked ok.

I love the intro the most, the music at the start really goes well with the theme of planets and flying through space. It may interest you to know that, it seems, the BBC do their vortex using various layers in Lightwave, or 3DS Max, a program similar to that. How are you planning to release the different sets? Like? Vids up here with the elements next to a green screen? I'm interested to see what it all looks like. :)

@ManservantPablo everyone the doctor who titles has shown us, and the tardis is the only ship in the universe which can time travel therefore the only thing in the time vortex would be the tardis, i very much doubt a tank would travel through time
@dwho1994 bzzzt. We have had debris in the vortex before. Check the 1996 movie. I put a tank in there, but who's to say that tanks didnt fall through the cracks in time... I only did it to be a bit creative. Sorry you didnt enjoy it.
@ManservantPablo the crack removes things from time it dosnt cause them to fall through the vortex, i didnt have a problem with the rocks floating through the vortex because that gives the impression of space aswell as time just like a starfield would do which the tv movie also featured but thats it
@dwho1994 I consider the debris you find in the vortex to be things lost in time... Things we lose in the bermuda triangle, or something slipping out of time by other means. The time vortex, sure we know that the doctor is "the only one who uses it" but we cant be certain of that. In the universe of who, it is ever changing, ever evolving. The time vortex was there before the time lords, and it will be there long after the doctor is gone.

@tjacoolvidsdotcom There are plenty of tutorials for using different programs that you can use the green screen. I am sorry, I want people to generate original content and not repeat my sequence over and over... which is why I put it in green screen so people could mix and match and make different things. Sorry m8

@ManservantPablo everyone the doctor who titles has shown us, and the tardis is the only ship in the universe which can time travel therefore the only thing in the time vortex would be the tardis, i very much doubt a tank would travel through time

@dwho1994 bzzzt. We have had debris in the vortex before. Check the 1996 movie. I put a tank in there, but who's to say that tanks didnt fall through the cracks in time... I only did it to be a bit creative. Sorry you didnt enjoy it.

@ManservantPablo the crack removes things from time it dosnt cause them to fall through the vortex, i didnt have a problem with the rocks floating through the vortex because that gives the impression of space aswell as time just like a starfield would do which the tv movie also featured but thats it

@dwho1994 I consider the debris you find in the vortex to be things lost in time... Things we lose in the bermuda triangle, or something slipping out of time by other means. The time vortex, sure we know that the doctor is "the only one who uses it" but we cant be certain of that. In the universe of who, it is ever changing, ever evolving. The time vortex was there before the time lords, and it will be there long after the doctor is gone.
