I lived on Hemenway St., across from Northeastern Univ. Dorms. I have seen many students through the windows, nude, drunk, having sex, being obnoxious, crying and laughing on the phone, and it was all amazing. My partner bought me binoculars as a gift at one point. Damn! It was great, those five years - I'm now back in Tampa - Boring!

Crazy shit happened, when the LA riots were happining there were arson cases just like it in Boston, an entire avenue in boston was burnt to the ground

There are several institutes of higher learning in the neighborhood.
Boston University is internationally respected; Northeastern is quite good, especially in engineering.
Among the music schools, Berklee is perhaps the best for jazz and rock music; for classical music, New England Conservatory has a superb reputation, and Boston Conservatory is a good school.
Among the art schools, the School of the Museum of Fine Arts is excellent.
The other schools are mostly of local interest.
