They are so amazing, just seen them live again yesterday...everything, his voice, the lyrics, the style! They will still be around in years and years cause everything they do is just a f**** masterpiece.
i only found out about these guys a few months ago and i honestly dont know how i've lived the last 10years of my life not knowing who the walkmen were
This is actually one of the most amazing things I've ever seen on Youtube!! i'm guessing this is not an official video.. but it is definitely one of the best music videos i've ever seen.. fucking unbelievable!!
Thank you very very much for responding. Like I said, my wife was actually only a few blocks away from that killer tornado in Topeka, Kansas in '66. It was a terrifying experience, one that still is stuck in her mind and she's uncomfortable about, especially when she's in a bad storm. Thanks again. Joel in Tucson
That tornado footage is from the killer F-5 Topeka, Kansas tornado from (I think it was June 8th) 1966. It was one of the worst tornadoes in Kansas history...think about that for a moment. My wife was in high school there, and was only a few blocks away from that monster. It scarred her psyche deeply. We now live in Arizona. But even on completely sunny days...if the wind blows enough to make the telephone wires sort-of sing....she'll sometimes start shaking terribly. joel in tucson
I do believe that the first bit of tornado footage there, and possibly all of it, was the infamous Topeka, Kansas F-5 in June of '66. My wife witnessed that from just a few blocks away as a high schooler. She's 60 now....and that incident still has left it's scars to this day. Even if it's sunny out...and the wind blows kinda hard....she starts shaking uncontrollably. Very sad. I wonder where I could find out if I'm right about that footage? thanks joel in tucson
@naderchaser I'm so sorry I haven't replied to you yet, I remember writing a post like a year ago but I must've forgotten to post it..
Anyway- thank you for your post, truly amazing story, and I'm sorry about your wife's experiences. I did some research and the footage I used in my video is called "Your Chance to Live: Earthwatch" from 1972. You can download at archive.org/details/YourChan1972
I hope you'll find the information you need there. Thanks again, bergstrommarn
@souljacker666 What if they stayed consistent but went mainstream due to them being recognized for their great music and thus making more money to say oh, eat and such?
Brilliant song !!!

The music, the lyrics and the film, all together, create a wildly beautiful semiotical creature which is pure poetry.

are there more bands like it (except for the well known ones), let me know about them?
in the past when i discovered new music i always thought "this must be it, this is the peak". now i know there's always where to improve.
this culture is oblivious to this law of nature. everything will be changed, replaced or removed. everything is emerging.
