  • Good ol Adolf Hitler is sitting up there on some clouds is probably saying: "Had we have those bad boys in our hangars back then, WWII would have been in our pocket books!!!

  • I sound just like that when taking a shit, but it's not nearly as epic.

  • Chuck Norris' RC plane.

  • If it fires for an extended peroid of time it sounds sike a little kid trying to make a farting noise

  • If this gun were in Call of Duty, the plane would be in the list of attachments...

  • its a flying gun

  • wicked. wicked as hell. and that is what we need. it is a big world lad.... and we need wicked on our side. God Save the Queen.

  • @teden20

I don't think the Queen could be saved if she was on the recieving end of that gun lol. Maybe if she drove around in that bulletproof bubble the pope used.... I bet the velocity of those bullets is immense. I'm guessing your from the U.K. so cheers from across the pond!

  • they should of used this to kill Bin Laden

  • @Megalodon64 i wish... but pakistan would throw a bitch fit if we did.

  • At the rate of fire that gun has with the 30mm its slows the plane down by a few mph.

  • That's the most fierce sound the bad guys never get to hear.

  • that needs a supressor. hahahahaha that would be rediculously long and really funny

  • @GnatsIhatethem2 its a gatling gun tho

  • yay depleted uranium dust everywhere, thats got to have some impact on family planning...

  • @zklzklzkl

Do you seriously think they use DU on a firing range? Why, in case the concrete wall they're shooting at starts firing back?

  • DOES ANYONE REALLY GIVE A SHIT HOW MUCH IT COSTS TO KILL AN ENEMY OF THE UNITED STATES?...

Id retype that but im too lazy... fuckin caps

  • @DonzeJ How much it costs is not really the point...the problem is that everywhere the US goes it seems to find 'enemies'. Usually, the enemy of the month was a pal a while back when the dictator of said country was doing what the US told him to do And even many of its' friends are just enemies too scared to BE enemies. It costs a lot to kill thousands of people, certainly...especially all those women and children blown to ragged chunks by drone strikes. Take that, 6 year old girl terrorist!

  • @ProjectFlashlight612 Oh god, really... another one of you types. Tell me, how many drone strikes have you witnessed? Do you know how many terrorists kill the people of their own country from mishandled IED's and errant rockets, propped up against a rock for aim... I guess youve never heard of propganda.

SECONDLY, children are often used as tools to employ wepaons. Weve had to engage women with stollers packed full of explosives, and yes they had a fucking baby in them. it sucks, they suck

  • well i know what i want for Christmas.....

  • at least i know now that my taxes are going to a good cause.

  • 3 second round burst

  • That 2 second burst cot $8450... I hope my tax money i going to cool shit like that!

  • @val83rx7 no ...its going towards making curbs on the side of the road. They told Me so themselves

  • 響亮的發電機

  • Holy shittttttttttttttttttt

  • looks ak-630 beautiful vids !

  • su-25sm cartridge cost 45.00§

  • So.. the US came up with a gun, made it fly, added some rockets and bombs onto it..

    My dream has come true. ;_;

  • 10 away from a 40 mike mike this thing will fuck you u.

  • the last shootout wasnt 2 seconds but 3 seconds:P

  • stand in front of it for the lulz.

  • @grindblasterds yes but the cost that USA says of the items they produce are bullshit. Its much cheaper to produce them what they say! Why the hell would it be so expensive to build one bullet when they are producing millions of them!?

  • @grindblasterds i meant 10$. U know when they are massproduced, the cost wont be that high.

  • did you guys count that?

  • awesome

  • The plane is an excellent accessory that they put on that gun... :D

  • @zulu45 The irony of that comment, the plane was literally built around the gun.

  • half a second of fire 10,000 $

  • The M1A2 Abrams has 960mm RHA in the Turret Front, one Bullet of the GAU-8 can penetrate ~70mm RHA at 1km. If you shoot 30 Rounds at the same Place that would be a Penetration of 2100mm RHA. This would kill the M1 easily. And the GAU-8 probably don't hits in the Front, it hits the lower armored Turret Roof.

  • @TankNutJohn89

Yeah, because the GAU-8 totally gets 30mm shot groups at 1km. You'd be lucky to get a decent number of rounds even hitting the *turret* at that range, let alone the precise same spot on the turret.

  • @CruelestChris: The GAU-8 does have a 80% hit ratio at 1km. ( 5m² target ) The A-10 would be shooting from above & probably hit the lower armored turretroof.

  • They had chained the plane!

otherwise the recoil of the GAU 8 would have moved the plane back!

  • @KaterineGreene33 seems legit

  • two A-10's flew over our town today, completely BAD ASS!

  • @vxtip556 so lucky mang :< all we get are police helos and commercial passenger jet crap. Never anything cool.

  • 30 mm shots are $65.00 a round u guys:)

  • @doggyprincess17 fired at hundreds of rounds a minute. But a GOOD USE OF MONEY.

  • @doggyprincess17 Bullshit. They are massproduced and hardly the price of one round would be that much. I would say about 1 dollar at most.

  • @doggyprincess17 Quit shopping at Cabela's and go to cheaperthandirt..com (Texas-based) they are only $16.49 a round. Nonetheless, that is still quite a bit of wasted taxpayer dollars.

  • @GoodaBuddha420 Its made of depleted uranium so its expensive, but its worth it seeing how 1 person payed like 1, 50th of a penny on the thing.

  • @doggyprincess17

In civilian retail. They cost far less for the military.

  • @doggyprincess17 money well spent

  • @doggyprincess17 It cost 45,500 dollars to fire this weapon, for 10 seconds.

  • @doggyprincess17 I believe they get a bulk discount.

  • @doggyprincess17 tax money. wwweeellll spent :)

  • @doggyprincess17 Holy shit!! lol

  • @doggyprincess17 They recycle the rounds after they get fired, so it's really not that big of a deal. Just like at the gun range.

  • @doggyprincess17

And a T72 is $1-2 million. A few rounds of 30mm will knock out a multi million dollar tank. Seems pretty cheap to me.

  • @doggyprincess17 Who gives a dam when its that badass :3

  • fuck that was a looonnngg two seconds?

  • well that is not a 50 cal it is 30 mm

  • a 50cal round cost a dollar a piece

  • @planes0211 i thought it was atleast $8

  • @StuntedSnail per round its 1 dollar when u buy them bulk its 8 dollars

  • Lol this gun fires about 40-50 rounds a second. He did 2 and a half seconds in shooting, and each round costs $500 hmmmmm..... It cost about 56,250 to fire this weapon for 2.5 seconds.

  • @nacholad 500 dollars a round you are smoking crack.

  • They had to anchor the damned plane to the ground to counter the recoil... shit!!

  • Comment removed

  • BRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

    Deceased- UH. Where am I?

God- I'll explain it all in a sec, but in short; you got fucked....

  • The best part is, the bullets wouldnt even need to hit you to kill you. If it went past you by chance, it would liquify your brain or internal organs.

  • @Nickodemusodurn Yeah no they wouldn't.

  • @YouSoundButtHurt

No they wouldnt kill you? I realize I heard this from a friend, who says a warthog pilot told him that. So second hand evidence isnt really the best at all. But prove me wrong, any pointers where I would find out more?

  • @YouSoundButtHurt

So I did some research of my own. Mythbusters did a show on a 50 cal, where they shot it past glass. It wouldnt even crack a lightbulb. So I gather not even a 30mm could possibly kill a person without touching them. Case solved. haha.

  • @Nickodemusodurn I'm glad you did some research! There are a lot of cool myths out there that people still believe and this is one of them.

  • Who gives a damn how the A-10 looks its a badass Tank eating lead spiting piece of awesome

  • Useless comments......USA rules...HEHEHEHEHE

  • I be that next when thing happens sometimes very good, so do. I'm hot. Obama vote for, is good so dooooo.

  • bah this pos slow crap cant open our t 90s is just for soft targets , our tunguskas can tear this shit to pieces

  • @maercats Didn't there used to be something called the USSR? Oh that's right; they went bankrupt trying to keep up with the U.S. in an arms race. U mad bro?

  • @raulrusboy Well look at the U.S., Russia spends oh I don't know about 1/10th the U.S. spends on a tank, plane, boat, or anything really. You spend too much money with not enough stuff to show for it. The U.S. will collapse like the Soviet Union did, It's following the same patterns, huge ass dept, fighting wars and spending a ton of money, angry citizens getting riled up with every illegal war. I'm not even Russian but I know this :/

  • @DmitriKarov Really the only thing I disagree with you on is how much we spend on equipment... I have no idea how much an MI-26 costs, nor how much fuel it burns in a flight, but it's pretty extravagant, and there's plenty more examples.

  • @raulrusboy Once you think about it, Russia re-uses old equipment, weapons from 1950 or even before that. They recycle parts from old AK-47s and they spend around 2.77-4.25 million on a T-90 compared to 6.21 million abrams. The U.S. retires good equipment. The A-10 uses 30mm shells, a .50 12.7mm costs $7 at my local range to shoot out of a heavy machine gun, and it does the same damage as a .50 Russian round (Which pierces tank armor) from an MI-24 that is old and recycled.

  • @DmitriKarov the russians didnt exactly plan well at high levels, but were incredibly resourceful and made do. an example is the 6 or 7 full airborne divisions they had at all times, but only had the airlift capability to move one of these divisions at a time.

  • @DmitriKarov You mean like how the UK and France are with their constant riots? Yeah, the USA is doing just fine, thanks.

  • @raulrusboy it wasnt the reason moron it was because the people got tired of communism, but we are the biggest country on earth we are back in shape and ready for anything youre on your way down pal ,still im right this gun is made for soft targets not tanks even with the uranium bullets

  • @maercats Wrong on both accounts... You know there's a great search engine called Google that can help you educate yourself on a subject within seconds, right?

  • @maercats It can be used for any sort of target really. But the gun was specifically meant to serve an anti tank role.

The gun represents about 16% of the A-10 aircraft's unladen weight.

  • @maercats It wasnt the *only* reason, China has a larger population, your economy is still in trouble and (response to hollow threat-like thing), still you're wrong, the gun is made for hard targets... Are you talking down the gun? On technical merits? No, you're just spouting crap because your upbringing embittered you towards other (American?) cultures... If you reply to this, you've only proven your own bitterness!

  • mini-gun w/ a jet attachment

  • @T16Akatsuki actually its a jet with a gun attachment, considering your asking for thumbs up, the jet costs millions of dollars wereas a gatling gun runs beetween 300,000 and 500,000 depending on what type of ammo it fires.......... youd be better off buying a house.

  • @PEEWEEK707 I agree weaponry and the fighter jet it self cost so much. If I'm not mistaken the B-2 Stealth Bomber cost about 2 billion dollars the A-10 is so fuckin badass

  • @AvengedSevenfold9000 i know right! .... in the 90's people thought the A-10 was ugly considering its design was different from the f-16's and f-18's used at the time. i never thought it was ugly though ...ive always like the A-10 its deadly fart noises have saved many lives haha

  • @PEEWEEK707 LMFAO it does sound like fart noises and the A -10 is sexy cause its not simular to other planes it has its own look. I can't believe how many tanks were taken out by this plane

  • @T16Akatsuki its a maxi-gun, not a mini-gun

  • Ear orgasm

  • camera man keeps jumping LOL

  • @BlueySkunky do you have any idea how loud a 30mm cannon is? think of it this way, a 50 caliber is only 12.95mm and that is usually enough to make a guy jump.

  • @scarface115 isnt it 12.7? i couldve sworn O.o

  • @cod6guy12 i was thinking about the browning m2 which fires .50 bmg rounds. the diameter on those rounds are slightly larger. but yes, any other .50 such as the desert eagle or the magnum 500 will be 12.7mm.

  • @scarface115 oh, my mistake then.

  • @BlueySkunky One time me and my friends went to see an A -10 firing its Gatlin Gun and they said they would not flench. A second after the cannon went off all 4 of them hit the groud screamin. tru story and funny as hell

  • chuck norris does that with his dick once a day.

  • @103423lee Yet another faggot that wants chuck norris to blow a load in there mouth..........

  • @extreme4767 fuck........ yyyyyoooooooooouuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!!!!!!!

  • @103423lee In your mouth!!!!

  • @extreme4767 im not gay. like u

  • the gun is chuck norris's penis

  • 1 bullet is enough and you were never there ... but 50bps ... lolz

  • Holy fuck

  • If you are in front of this thing when its hunting , well, sucks to be you . BYE ! =)

  • I love how the top comments are both the same fucking thing

  • I like how in the second burst the guy filming it is considerably farther from the gun.

  • damn that thing sure can spit some lead, excuse me, depleted uranium

  • Stop saying, "dear Santa...".

    It's on nearly every video.

  • i feel sorry for the inanimate object its shooting at..... i mean damn thats just over kill.

  • @Dadrew200 its only a test fire, to see if the cannon works properly, its not an over kill when the pilots possibly have to destroy a tank

  • Nice plane on that gun.

  • why they mounted a plane to a gun?

  • @Forgetmequick For the lulz of course.

  • look at all the straps they need just to keep the plane from being shot back

  • It costs $400,000 to fire this weapon... for 12 seconds >:D

  • @XMMxmmXM i dont know where you got your numbers from but they're horrible lmfao. This weapon's rounds are on average, below $15 each. we'll take the worst case and say they're $15 just for simplicity, k? Additionally, this weapon fires 70 rounds per second. now its just math. 70x12=840, 840x15= $12600. it's $12600 for 12 seconds. or roughly $1000 per second.

  • @kingmigget That was a joke. There's a video called Meet the Heavy to promote the game Team Fortress 2, he has a custom minigun he calls "Sasha" that he says costs "$400,000 to fire this weapon for 12 seconds".

  • @kingmigget Depleted uranium shells at $15 a piece? Where do you live at?

  • @demonkoryu we dont use DU for everything. hardly at all for this beast.

  • @kingmigget Read the GAU-8 Avenger article on Wikipedia. This aircraft is about the only one that uses DU at all.

  • 175 rounds in 2.5 seconds. It sounds like a million though!

  • Where the hell did you get this clip, that is me in the A-10 at the Weapons Development and Test Center (3214th Sq. ) at Eglin Air Force Base in 1977 at range 21 firing 30mm ball and uranium tipped ammo. I was firing at M-60 tanks at 1000 yards and 2000 yards, tore them up !!!!

  • I"MA FIRRRRRINNNG MA LAZZER!!!!

  • Can someone tell me, if it fires at the ground, you will hear and see expolosions? is this the impact of the bullet, or are they expolosive (exp.bullets?)

  • @AtomicFreerun there is no explosion just big holes in the ground, this sound is just simply the gun shooting

  • Longest 2 seconds of the terrorists life... Or shortest...

  • You could literally fly the thing backwards. The gun has slightly more recoil force than a single engine.

  • @skariaxil NO

  • My fart sounds scarier than this sh*t!!

  • the camera man shit himself.

  • I love how they have to tie the plane down when they set off that beast...

  • perfect for making swiss cheese

  • 2 second burst = 140 bullets. :P

It's ridiculous how powerfull that gatling gun is.

  • I love how the camera man moves when it fires. He must of been twitchy!

  • "Et Cost 4 Million dollarz to fire dis weapon for twelve seconds"

  • Bad day for lybia. :P

  • @DBURKE1353 lmfao

  • Dear Santa, can I have a A10 for Christmas please. I've been real good. I promise.

  • sounds like air

  • We should all be thankful that the German didn't have such awesome airpower during the airwar back in WW II 'cause then every first bomber on its first mission would be its last!!!

  • the A10 can only carry 1350 rounds of ammo!

  • That's what Taco Bell does to you.

  • The A-10C upgrade removed the 3 sec burst limit so the pilot can empty all the ammo in one burst if he wants to but 2 - 3 sec is all thats needed, the gun can take it and it only slows the plane down a little as the plane is diving when it fires and the pilot has to throttle to idle when diving as the slower he dives the more tme he has to attack. The ignighters in both engines come on when the gun is fired as in the prototype the engines were suffocated by the gas from the gun.

  • One GAU-8 has the same power as one turbine of this jet. :) EPIC

  • I suppose the longest burst you can fire is a 2 second burst right? I bet this thing overheats hella easy.

  • @bassplaya1549

The GAU-8 can fire continually for over 10 seconds without overheating or jaming. The reason pilots dont fire it more then 2 or 3 seconds is because the gun has 10,000 lbs of recoil force and it slows the plane down the longer its fired. Also the heavy smoke produced by the gun can sometimes flame out the A10's turbo fan engines though they've been upgraded to reduce that from happening. 70 rounds per sec @ 4200 rpm barrel speed.

  • They decided not to get rid of the A-10 as in GUlf War 2 and Afghanistan it has scored the most kills so it is being upgraded to A-10C, glass cockpit , Jdams and a garfield.

  • i liked the part were it goes buzz

  • That A-10 has a hard on!

  • 6,000 rounds a minute of 30mm?why does the US have ANY problems?!

  • that gun can never be replaced. the military has been trying to get rid of the a-10 for 25 years but its impossible to until they come up with a better solution. they say that the f-35 is supposed to replace it but in no way can the f-35 replace what the a-10 can do. what are they going to d about an a-10 replacement?

  • @jgtheman84 They say the A-10 is to be in service until 2028 so they have plenty of time to find a replacement.

  • @GunsOfThePhoenix imagen a 40x364mmr gatling gun

  • that gun has so much recoil that the A-10 actually looses air speed when it fires bursts longer than 2 seconds.... i want one!!.

  • @origionalwinja It will cause the jet to stall. That's why the gun is set off center from the nose.

  • @lbj222 The offset puts the gun system out of the way of the undercarriage nose wheel and the wheel well it folds into. The barrels fire in the 9 o'clock position (looking at the nose from the front), so the recoil actually is along the aircraft's centerline, even though the center of the gun system doesn't line up.

  • @origionalwinja That's why they train to strafe targets at a certain level of dive angle.

  • @RacerXGTO The gun is actually angled downward a bit to REDUCE the dive angle needed for target engagement, since altitude is a precious commodity for fixed-wing aircraft in combat maneuvers. The recoil is not a problem because firing only ever lasts a few seconds. There will never be any need to fire longer than that simply because the aircraft covers a lot of ground and fires a lot of ammunition in that time: 506 ft per second at 300 knots, and 70 rounds per second.

  • Longest "half a second" evar

  • Yeah, tap that baby.

  • so if I was hit by this thing, a 3cm hole on the body is all I'd get? not too scary to me.

  • @minhhale That's what you'd get if someone slowly pushed a shell through you. Try catching one moving at about 1000m/s.

  • @minhhale actually if you were hit by this thing, you would have at least 50-75 if it was moving. Several hundred more is you and it were stationary. a 3cm hole multiplied by that would equal something equivalent to chunky salsa. Sure to make your day interesting. :)

I've seen these things in action and it is mightily impressive.

  • @minhhale The rounds are HE rounds, so there wouldnt be anything left of you.....

  • Not enuf Dakka

  • the barrel for the 30 mm cannon is so long the landing gear is built to the side of the gun

  • So that's what Chuck Norris's penis looks like.
