chicago618, i think she's using herself as an example. she's an organizer and uses the magazines as inspirational tools and keeps up with the current mags. plus, it would be crazy to save ALL those magazines if she didn't :P

How to organize bookshelves: Don't stack the books on top of each other in the same row, put the hard covers before the soft covers to balance it out... its not that difficult.

I cut out articles of magazines which I think will come in hand and store them in a ring binder.

Get rid of them!?? No way josé! Magazines don't expire just becausethey are not current. LOL at her being cut off.
