Wow, nice stuff. I agree with the guy who said it there is no most dangerous type and that it is the practitioner. Also Gary Lam is not the most physically fit guy but I'm sure he'd mess people up. I think a martial artist can be really really good and very deadly still even if they appear out of shape. It comes down to their understanding of their style and the experience they have in using it. A guy that looks overweight and old perhaps may have enough experience to still be very deadly.

He does look out of shape but he really isn't. I studied under Sifu Wong from 1980 to 1987 (off and on) and he always looked like that but believe me he has great strength and skill. I returned to his school in 95 and 96 and he looked older than he does in this video but his physique was the same. Trust me, Doug Wong is the real deal.

i think kung fu schools nowadays lost their touch, because the skills they teach u are supposedly so lethal, that you never have a chance to practice it on anyone. yes, its a street fight, and it's for survival, but correct application calls for not only doing your forms, but actually hands on sparring. And because you cannot tear someone's eye out while you spar, you never really practice these techniques on anyone, and I think that's what turns it least practical.

Why would there be? Martial arts applied to the streets is all about survival, you wouldn't use this in a "play fight" with your buddies or in the ring, you would use this when someone is coming at you trying to hurt you.
