I feel lucky as hell for being able to be there. This was the only show besides Texas that didn't get cancelled. It was amazing, when they played this I was like ohhhhhhhh shit lol. Band of horses was badass also.
WoW! Hell Yeah! Love Kings of Leon! Listening to a lot of Kings of Leon, Hey You!, My Chemical Romance, The Killers, The Clash, and No Doubt....
Hey You! is still pretty new, but they're waaaay dope. Pop/Rock/Punk with a cool edge. Plus they've got a pretty hot chick singer too :-) ...check em out...
I was there at Lakewood on 7-26-11, and yes,it was EPIC!!! The best concert EVER!!! I didn't sit down once during the show, but danced the night away and sang every word to every song!!! I'd not heard of Band of Horses, and they opened, and they were great. Caleb did indeed interact, and he said during the first part of the concert that he was a bit tipsy, which was funny. He also said it was too hot, and I agree; but the place was HOTTER because there was electricity in the air! I love KoL!!!
Sure they do! The degree of interaction is likely a function of audience participation/disposition. Don't just sit/stand and not get into the vibe; and, don't just respond to SoF, Use Somebody, Radioactive (the top radio played songs).
@leguygt Amen! I would have lost it if they had played more of their older songs! I was so happy they played California Waiting, I was shocked when they did, I wasn't expecting it at all. I was also impressed with the crowd around me, they all knew all the songs from old to new and sang every word. When I saw them at Phillips Arena in '09 that wasn't the case at all. I got really excited when Caleb said they were going to play some songs they were rusty on, but it was still an amazing show!
There are no words to describe how amazing this night was! Just when I think I can't love KoL anymore I see them live again and fall even more deeply in love with them! Them playing this song made my whole night!!! One of my faves from the new album, so thank you to The Whigs for requesting it!!! And thank you leguygt for uploading such an amazing video, that's an awesome camera!
