thanks for info its interesting to see the law about lightning color on a diferent province or state,here clear color ist illegal .governement allow only amber/amber for towing,snow plows or public works.and if a citizen want to use a revolving light or led light (all amber) they need to ask a permit to quebec government and put a sticker on the windo of the vehicle

Illegal depends on the colors. Any blue, completely illegal. Yellow, red, amber, white. All legal.

Beyond that I dont know on other colors.

@radzer0 Actually, all the lights are illegal to use on a moving vehicle in most states, unless you're in construction, towing, fire, federal government, or law enforcement. Other than that, they'll bust your ass in a heartbeat.

@canadaleds Just do add to your comment, In Ontario, It is not illegal to have in or on your vehicle any type of emergency light of any colour as long as it is not being used on public roads or public property. You can only be fined if using them while operating these lights on public roads or highways. Rules are similar in other provinces but always a good thing to check with your individual provincial laws. Amber and White coloured lights are legal on any vehicle in any province in Canada.

@canadaleds Actually for a couple years now, police now use blue and red lights. red and white for fire, blue is for snow plows while doing snow removal operations, green for volounteer firefighters and first responder, amber and white for public works and pretty much anything else.

It's not that FS makes crap, but this is a cute light for arriving at a crime scene and throwing on the dash. Moving traffic in the daytime is not it's strong point. In my opinion, the SHO-ME Dash Pro's are blinding bright for moving daytime traffic. Put them side by side in the day at a distance and you'll see the difference. Again, just my opinion.

The majority of the unmarked County PD cars have this light. It really is cool. I saw a marked car with it recently. Aside from being quite visible, it really does look cool.
