  • just killer is all i gotta say...

  • Yee gods one of the best albums of all time.....leave footprints in the sanda of time

  • @SquainbowSquaising - I know just what you mean . last week I only had 8 minutes so was able to enjoy the last bit reflecting with a cup of tea. Superb track.

  • Long before the entirely subjective "End" would beset itself upon the earth, His Most High Squane-bo gathered the initiates in regions still unknown. There in that elysian land, His Most High accompanied by the 2,012 girl flowers in bloom, eschewed raiment and secular cause and through community will and The Wisdom of Mother Peyote, The Genital Embrace and The Swirls of Sativa Seldom Seen, gratified mind and satiated flesh conjured The Three-Masted Dreadnaught to carry them to The Edge of Time.

  • @lionstanding Whatever you're on, I want some.

  • I want this to be played in my funeral ,i will call Magnu to come and take away my spirit into the shadows to live forever...

  • bin a fan for38 years...never fails

  • ambient heavy metal,why didn't i think of that

  • i had the luck of seeing Hawkwind live.... Brock was playing like a 20 year old boy!!!! Hawkwind is one of bands that left us something to build on. To understand how psycedelia was expressed through music!!!!

  • I Havent Smoked fer Years,, But i im gaspin fer a joint now, but Maybe not,, ill keep ter me Mushrooms,, Cant Smoke Again sadly,, Pneumonia, ETC,,

  • @MyAxolotl if you can't smoke the greens, you can always vaporize or cook with it...no reason to forsake the earth-medicine : )

  • Very special band.

  • I am surte that Josh Homme (Queens of the stone age) heard Hawkiwind

  • This is epic as hell.

  • 19 seconds to rewind back to 25 sec for another listen...

hypnotic and classic... ah, those were the days.

    now, where's me aghan

  • Happy days

  • I've flown feet first to this.

  • Happy 70th Birthday, Dave Brock !!

  • This is the song I would want playing in the background If I only had 9 minutes to save the Earth.

  • @SquainbowSquaising ;-) I see your plan, 8 minutes and 41 seconds kickin it, listening and getting motivated with 19 seconds for action.

  • @Honeysucklebommie 8 minutes and 41 seconds to do as you suggested and smoke the 6-paper-end-of-the-world joint with the final 19 seconds to decide whether I should cut the red wire or the green one.

  • @SquainbowSquaising I would have the Lords of light.

  • Exellent !

  • ALWAYS AND FOREVER HAWKWIND!!!!!!!

  • obey the God......obey Hawkwind....

  • It's odd how our perceptions of time change. I first heard this album in 1985, when I was 19. It was 10 years old and I thought of it as retro and vintage, from a different era. That was 26 years ago. Now, an album that is 10 years ago feels like, ooh, last week. Maybe it's just that there was such a sharp distinction after punk from the hippie era. I dunno. It's just hard to believe I've been listening to this for a quarter century. The 80s now seem very ancient indeed.

  • @jaxxstraw I see this comment was made 2 months ago. I hope you come back to read this. Anyway, does it seem fresh because it reminds you of something current? If so, what? By the way, I loved it that the UK had a foreign minister named Jack Straw. The name sounded like something out of English folklore, like Robin Hood or John Barleycorn or such.

  • Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant, thanks, danke!

  • love elric, corum, the eternal champion, thanks moorcock and hawkwind !!

  • love elric, corum, hawkmoon, the eternal champion = thanks moorcock and hawkwind !!

  • Seen them many times. Stonehenge back in the day when i used to bunk off school, Brilliant.

  • This was actually a good album - effect wise.

  • HAWKWIND and EARTH CULTURE where the best new age band of their time without a doubt.

  • Probably their best LP! It's absolutly mind blowing! just ride that music

  • there isn't a button for love - Hawkwind transcend the norms of music.

Thanks for the upload & great to see so many hawkfans are out there

  • I love everything Hawkwind has done ever since I discovered them in my high school years in the early 70s I still dig the feelings that invokes in my cosmic soul its still like its been created today even what they do nowdays is just beyond imagination Brock AND THE BOYS LIVE FOREVER

  • backwards reverb is scary, especially if done live

  • clearly diminished by a day-glow light. Love 'em but lost without Davey and Huw.

Always worth a punt though.Did some 'in search of space' tonight, which is always good.

It's that bastard 'Live 79/Levitation/Do not panic' Album that seemed the 'yardstick' for me..Live Chronicles was a bit special too.

  • "I must create a system or be enslaved by another man's, I will not reason or compare, my business is to create!" William Blake's brave words seem to me apposite to the Hawkwind experience. A bunch of London street minstels with a social concience and a sense of fun, "born to go as far as we can fly", they did very well and in their own way achieved a miracle. None of the offshoots were ever that good, only Hawkwind have the Magic vibe and are always best served up live where they are happiest.

  • My name is Angel Gray Walker i formed a band i used to be in called FULL MOON psych prog rockers !!!! major influ twaz hawkwind we gigged from 85 til 92 did several albums had a hit in europe we were signed to demi monde records dave andersons lable x bassist of hawkwind check us out on you tube type in UK ROCK BAND FULL MOON

  • awesome, not heard that in years...shit, I have the gatefold sleeve somewhere.

    thanks for the post...pure class.

  • The stuff of legend

  • walk on the earth... flying through space <3

  • @AttackShipOnFire because as i am told daily they are fucking shit lol i wonder this myself how do i find them brilliant and all i know think there crap fine line between genius and madness i suppose

  • Man, i am hooked. Just feelin' it. I have been listening to Hawkwind for hours. I haven't had breakfast yet. I'm not even high. The vibe is just growing and growing by the moment. I'll sing along, pick up my guitar, the bass, my keyboard, play a few notes or chords or leads along with the track, put the instrument down, sing along some more, dance around the room. I just can't put this vibe aside. I keep feeling it.

  • MANY, MANY trips with THIS album! WOW!

  • @FaiellaBen I think I know where your coming from there : )

  • @AttackShipOnFire

Haha, don't worry. There are still plenty of people in younger generations who enjoy good music. Hawkwind will live on

  • This is just incredible. I think someone needs to give the violinist a glass of ice water and a beej or something after that.

  • ALWAYS AND FOREVER HAWKWIND!!!!!

  • i love the cover

  • did ye get yon ST af ma stick ?

  • Very mind-bending! ^^

    Awesome track!

  • One of "The Winds' Greatest tracks"!

  • never got the credit they deserved they didnt want it.....Dave Brock is the man!!!!!!!

  • Had the privilege of seeing this band live back in the 70's, awesome. I have 16 of their albums on vinyl..

  • No band like them, never will be.............True Originators/Innovators that don't get their due credit. Best group ever!

  • One of my all time Hawkwind songs

  • classic track

  • why look so glum Moon?

  • An EPIC 8-minute-plus song to LOVE...!!!!!!

  • @HallowedHoly ........Not many bands can perform tracks for the lengh of time that Hawkwind could either live or studio!!

  • the band that iv spent many a lsd speed pot fulled nigth tripping to .

  • To me, this track was about my BSA chop...with a magneto that got wet in the rain and packed up working sometimes.

...Aah, but I didn't care, see - because I always had a stash with me...'til it dried out.

  • Right stuff to take a "Yellow sunshine" or another vintage acid ;)

  • I love how the song just keeps progressing and layering more an more instruments and sounds onto itself over this 8 1/2 minutes of musical acid trip :)

  • This has got to be the greatest album Hawkwind did apart from church of Hawkwind...Takes me right back to my heavy metal rock biking days...

Just superb..still smell the denim and leather days...Once bitten never forgotten..

  • @loco6607 - Yep, me too bro.

  • @Hellishcrusade Your a fucking diamond mate...Nice to know some originals are still around..

  • great

  • Fuck reality, get into the Hawkwind and let the music do the rest.

  • aa yers daft. ?

  • do not panic !!!!!

  • Lemmy on bass? Motorhead's Lemmy? haha I didn't know that he used to play in a space prog rock band

  • aye they kicked him out for being caught at customs, can't remember which, maybe Canada? with meth-amphetamine, initially thought to be cocaine until proved otherwise, yet at that point he had already been kicked out. Think Dave Brock can be a bit of an arse to other band members sometimes.

  • According to Lemmy, Dave Brock tried to get him back in the band but certain other members vetoed it.

  • it was for speed which is a form of methamphetamine

  • @immortalx50 He was there from 'Space Ritual' till this session.

  • Do not panic Califorina! Hawkwind is here!

  • just got hold of cd on ebay for £11. bargain or what ?

  • This album is one of the 20 best rock albums ever IMO.

  • STRANGE DAYZ fest at nelson ledges .... wow me as a kid in the u.s.a seeing them on there last u.s apperence i got lucky this brings back sooooo many memerys thank you so much man.

  • @Rockorollo Saw that show...I was a LedgeRat for about a decade! Good times...

  • This kind of music simply did not exist in the world until Hawkwind made it. They never from the start did anything but their own thing.

In that they deserve to have become legendary.

  • And it will never exist again!!!!!

  • @aironatape ....there are quite a few bands carrying the Hawkwind torch right now

  • you are completely correct, i have known it for the last 35 years.

  • RESPECT!!!! THEY WHERE THERE OWN.

  • @thedustofages i agree

  • @thedustofages disagree, there were plently of bands all over the band that produced long tracks, in fact its one of the defining traits of the era that bands were producing music focused on the ' album'. spacy, symphonic, groovy music all over the place.... hawkwind are too influenced by acts like jimi hendrix, iron butterfly and pink floyd. one of their objectives was to keep ' the true underground of the sixties' alive, and they did an amazing job at that

  • @thedustofages this and acid took me to the ends of the universe and back

  • download it ^.^

  • This is pretty good, I have to find some records by these guys.

  • @rashadpwnzuall this album is very rare, i saw it for almost 200 bucks for an LP.

  • 200? I got to bid on that!

  • This is Hawkwind:Do not panic!

  • seen them years ago in manchester fantastic thank god for youtube

  • Agree this is stunning music... I cant even get my ass out of the door ... the music

    has stunned me

  • best band on the planet

  • @mrmalcolmgn M.A.R.S

  • @purplefurball Wrong! best band in the Universe.

  • @purplefurball beyond the planet my friend they are the best band in the universe/multiverse

  • awesome violin and sax work!!!!!!

  • Hawkwind = Immortal

  • Got into Hawkwind in'78 after hearing Masters of the Universe,Iwas 11.

At 16 I went to my first Stonehenge festival and took my first acid saw them live and then everything made sense.

  • brilliant, onli 19 now n went to see spaceritual live wen i was 17, just amazin

  • i love this song,it enables me to trip freely...thank you for uploading brother....i wish i was a lot older so i could have seen them live....

Magnu, horse with golden mane, I want your help yet once again.....

their improvisation is also interesting and inspired.just love it.:)

  • I believe they're still touring these days on a fairly regular basis.

  • i hope they do,but it's still impossible to see them live down here in greece...god damn.

  • saw them at nearfest and allentown a couple of years ago-they still rule!

  • i have an original rare DJ promo copy of this record.

  • i wish i could play guitar i love music it is an amazing gift from God same with women i would say ,HW are awesome i am only 45 but still love this stuff ,not much of a kiss andthe like fan ,really love trippier stuff myself ,peace my brothers and sisters:)

  • you aint tripped til ya listened hawkwind!!!!!!

  • Seen Hawkwind 1976 in Germany while I was in the Army. Sort of unknown statside but these cats kicked ass. I remembered we scored some killer hash and they soared into this song and me and my buds were flying right with em,great light show the whole gig was sureal,I heard Lemmy of Motorhead use to play bass with em and they used to have this amazon big titted appleheaded gal that woulddance on stage nekkid when the spirit moved her. Anywho rock on kids

  • Saw them twice in the 70's as Hawkwind and one of the splinter bands, Hawklords; excellent band. Yep, Lemmy was in the band before he formed Motorhead. The young lady was called Stacia, about 6 foot tall with tits you wouldn't believe! Apparently she's now a respectable married woman living in Ireland. Damn.

  • It's an awesome track!!!

  • hail to you,ty for the video

  • Yes, Magnu is a killer cut!!!! I'M sitting here listening to a cassette tape dug out of the basement archives that I made ages ago, of a pals radio show back in Cleveland, on WRUW FM -- Michigan Mom --she started the show with Hawkwind doing Magnu...then into the Pretty Things with LSD...then SRC w/ Gary Quackenbush on a kickass lead guitar...now Green Manelishi by Fleetwood Mac....ahhhh - the classic days of cassettes -- this one is June 25th 1976...got a big stack more to listen through....

  • Hawkwind has always been a lot of different things to me---among them being the very first and best punk rockers, despite never aspiring to be classified as such. Eat yer heart out Billy Idol! They didn't need US radio airplay to become legendary.

  • Too much bullshit and not enough HW in our worlds.

  • This brings back some of my best memories. This is a classic tune. I was 15 (1975) the first time I heard this, road tripping smokin doobies, it is also the first guitar chords I learned. Me and my buddy (TK) jam this together with two guitars,we sort of made our own version of it and people love it. Check out the album "In search of space" by Hawkwind if you get a chance.........

  • fuck yeeeaahhh!!!

  • Top Stuff Aironatape , thanx for the post Freind,

  • Timeless music, electric tribal teepee, long live the spirit of this age

  • MAGNU RULES !!

  • Try listening to some of their other work!!

  • this is the best thing i have heard in my life so far

  • And there's plenty more to explore.

  • I fell off the edge on two "gold yin and yang" at Stonehenge 77 and I have been falling ever since.

  • I remember listening to this album when I was 16 years old (1976) My friend lived in his parents basement and had the most awesome sound system. Look on the back side of the cover, The Warrior fell of the edge of time!

I think myself lately, So have I.

  • And which dimension did you end up in?

  • sounds like angels of death with different lyrics!

  • They all do that sir, its a feature ;-)

(Can I have what he's just had)?

  • So good , so timeless that The Porcupine Tree have used the same / similar riff on a track called Out from their Love, Death and Mussolini album/ cd...Porcupine Tree are friggin awesome but early Hawkwind were the biz

  • I have this set and for 1975 it sounds very modern still!

  • this is the shit

  • this is good, i came

  • This is deep!!!

  • So is Space

  • Definitely one of the best versions of this tune. Was always a favourite of mine at gigs along with Assault & Battery/Golden Void and "Hashish Hashish Hashish Hash ee eesh!!" lol

Ah the good ole fezzie days!!!

  • This is the one song that defines "Heavy Metal/Space Music".A fucking classic!!!The best!!!

  • anyone have the song kings of speed?
