Coach Fry was a friend of my family due to him coaching at SMU. Wonderful man and one the greatest coachs if not the greatest coach ever! I remeber when i was a teenager he and his family went to Lake Dallas with us on our boat which he wound up buying. One of my most special memories! And i have a big crush on one of his sons...lol...
@sonnywestfan1 My Dad used to write a letter to Coach Fry about once a month, sometimes more sometimes less for many years. One year my Dad hadn't felt well and tried not listening to the games to keep his excitement down and come around October the phone rang and it was Coach Fry. Since my Dad hadn't written him he tracked us down and wanted to make sure my Dad was okay. I love Coach Fry.
He is a SUPER guy and one of a kind Coach. did u know the tv show Coach was based on him. but nothing like his life.
