Yeah. Willie was a great entertainer. I'm glad that I got the chance to see them before he past away. My mom had their old 8 track tapes when i was a little boy. So I was raised up listening to this group as a littlet kid. The Gospel Kenotes were well know in every parts of the US. I'm from Florida so he was also know back east. My uncle god blessed the dead was part of a gospel quartet group back in South Carolina. He would bring my mom the latest tape of the Keynotes.
Man im from Florida too and my dad had alot of thier reords. I remember when they came down to ft.lauderdale many years ago when i was a kid probably early 1990's. i love these guys along with Robert Blair. If you Love wille youl love Robert Blair and the Fantastic Vulineers
You guys are right. These guys were the best. I'm from Florida. I grew up listening to the gospel keynotes. My mother use to play them along with the the Pligrim Jubilees, as well as the mighty clouds of joy. I was about 6 07 seven years old when i first heard them. I'm now 36 and I still listen to their CD's and VCR recordings. Over all. I think Paul Beasley was their best singer though.
I use to think that i liked the Keynotes because of Paul Then when i saw them line i knew it was because willie was a great showman not in a negative way but he know how please audience he really loved the Lord and really acted as if he had no sense

Paul left the group to go with the Mighty Clouds and Robert replaced him. As a matter of fact, this was one of Robert's debuts. Listen to Willie say ,"I got a brand new man!"
