Jason is so gentle and loving with Liz. I think some people (u know who lol) would say it's a lack of chemistry but I think the RL friendship b/t SB and BH is what they see. I remember once BH said in the NOP scene when they go to the floor SB wouldn't let her get hurt and took all the weight. He hurt his arm as a result but the point is he genuinely cares about her on and off camera they have been friends for Years since they were kids really on the show. It only seems to be Elizabeth that Jason cannot stand to lose to the violence in his world - everyone else is on their own and can choose for themselves. Like the time she got shot and he told her that he had held her once while she bled and he never wanted to do it again.
