If you really managed to stuff more fish in a tank that size, shame. You probably knocked their lifespans down by a couple years, stunted their growth and left them open to disease. Any experienced aquarist would be able to give you at least 5 reasons why this is cruel.

Nice tank, I had a 2.5 that had about 40 fish until they must've had some bad food or something because a bunch died. Then I put them all in another tank but I guess the Brita water was too clean because they were all swimming weird and started dying one after the other.
