If 2 people want to commit to a relationship in the form of a marriage it should be rejoiced not ridiculed. By not allowing this basic of rights we are treating them as second class. Marriage only being between a man and woman is that way only because of tradition. Traditions change all the time.

Many gay men confuse the love of a best (girl) friend for romantic love, when they haven't come to terms with being gay. It's not unusual.
