To @genxgina your comment is ignorant. If you knew anything about Punk Rock or Siouxsie then you would know that neither she nor 99.99 % of the people who love this type of music would support a fascist band.
How could I miss this one? It's marvelous. I remember seeing (on tape) an old gig with Siouxsie and Sid at the drums - What I remember vividely was the bottomless rubber outfit she wore. She surely is a rubbergirl!
@MrBlairblack i love her an dthe band but why do people say that? i dont like teh nazi shit at all!! thats horrible...she really shouldnt have gone there, being "in your face' to a culture is one thing, anarchy symbols get that point across, but this? swastikas? too painful to the 6 million plus people, including children and the non-jews who resisted the nazis and all of their families today who remember...
@genxgina Siouxsie, like many early punks sometimes wore nazi symbols (and lots of other things) in order to shock & provoke. There was no question that they were anti-Nazi (authoritarianism was what punk directly opposed). No self-respecting punk concerned themselves with joining mainstream society where one has to be careful not to offend. It is unfair to bands like the Banshees for things to be taken out of context. BTW, David Bowie, a blatant fascist, was selling millions in '76.
i have loved her for decades. we could be mothers together. speaking of which>>>>>>>do any of you know "Mother"? if you are a true Siouxsie fan, you do.
yeh sid was rubbish on the drums as well as not being able to play bass guitar v well (am a pistols fan) ,, Marco `on guitar`, later went on to be the guitarist/song writer, with a band `Adam and the ants`.. i think..... Steve spunk, no idea...
@cmclsrnsee I seem to remember him doing something, maybe being gloriously drunk. But you're right: the Wikipedia article says that John Simon Ritchie, better known as Mr Vicious, did play drums with the Banshees.
gawd Sid looked so hot here!!

If you were trying to trick me into thinking that Siouxsie sang London calling, by the Clash for 1 minute and 4 seconds, it worked. :-P
