Link is Isai's favorite character, i'm guessing becuase you have to be more technical and creative in order to pull off good combos with link. (bomb and boomerang) thats why i love him.
i think that it wasnt a prediction but manipulation a 2:50 because he jumped back and made it look like he would attack so kefit would try to et out of the way
i have three questions 1. are you on a n64? 2. im thinking about buying the jap version will it work on my n64 and is there any difference beside the sounds? 3.if you are on the n64 are you using turbo controller
@naztypezero A lot of practice goes a long way. The technical side of this match is impressive, but that can be reached with consistent practice. It's the mental side of this match that's truly mind-blowing.
@quesote20 you could always do nair 1st before you follow with a uair, but uair allows you to do it to lighter characters, to me this is like bread and butter combo for pikachu against players that know their shit. but I never thought I'd see kefit pull this off on isai.
Haha, that was certainly part of it. It didn't change the fact that, no matter how good I get at this game, or how lopsided the matchup should be, Isai always seems to be three moves ahead of me when I actually play him.
@Kefit That's the art of prediction; understanding your opponent's character's moves and think "right now he might do this" or "if I go here, he'll do this." That's the key to winning!
And for those who religiously play 64, only we can respect a Link winning such a lopsided matchup on such an advantageous stage; as well respecting any player who can play so well against Isai, regardless of character choice.

I wonder, do you pick link sometimes because people run away alot, and the boomerang and bomb is a easy way to catch them??

@timboybig you're wrong, only one character can hang on a cliff, so pikachu isn't able to hang himself on the cliff

Your platform work makes 64 look much smoother and faster than I've ever seen it.

Sanefox11 1 year ago
@Sanefox11 He mains Link.
Dude10256 1 year ago
@Dude10256 Not really. He's best with Pikachu, so that's his main in that sense, but Link is his favorite atm, I believe.
I loved the fair-reverse boomerang-fair/dairs. And that one edgehog.

naztypezero 1 year ago
@naztypezero I can answer 1 and 3.
1. It will specifically state in the title if it is online.
3. Nobody uses the turbo controllers, they suck.

@quesote20 Just tilt the stick lightly if you want to do a uair without jumping. You don't need to push it all the way.

Of course, mind games are key. But Isai's videos never really convey just how good he is at prediction. Really, his ability in this area is uncanny.

@Kefit Nice Pikachu, I've always respected your technical skill seeing your matches over the years.
But damn 2:50, gotta hurt the psyche.
