You should do a video on Avant browser its the browser that i use all the time. it has heaps of cool freatures such as the ability to take your bookmarks with you where ever you go ect. it would be interesting to see how it compares in the speed test.

Apples and oranges really.

Chrome = most basic of basic, hence its speed in comparison to other browsers. Good for people who don't need add-ons. Paired with Privoxy, Chrome has an ad-blocker that is potentially more aggressive than ABP + FF.

Firefox = Lotsa themes, customization and add-ons. Perhaps one can say one can customize Firefox a lot to their own liking, but with all those add-ons, and perhaps eye-candy, you compromise speed.

It's really sad how Google launched Chome just to hurt Firefox. Google has taken away more of FF's market share than Internet Explorer.

However, Google Chrome (Google is super rich (and greedy)) will be the #1 browser soon. I would consider switching from Chrome to Firefox once more extensions (like NoScript!) are developed, and once they take away that horrible keylogger that feeds their search engine.

Anyways, I'll stick to Firefox for now.

Chrome is extremely secure. I just ran a spybot check for the first time in 2 weeks and my PC had 6 tracking cookies and nothing else bad.

I haven't had a single malware attack since in began to use it.

The browser is very paranoid, each page is a separate app in its own sandbox that cant talk to each other and if its in the background it cant even write to your HD.

The reason it's better than all is because if you mod the pipelining in Firefox, you can get a massive performance boost depending on how fast your internet download speed is. Personally, I have a 5mbps download internet download connection and my performance increased by about 3 times (3 times as fast) after modding some stuff in about:config.

Hey PCWhiz kid. Just curious man. I know the benches say like Safari and google chrome are the fastest browsers. But I have used those plus firefox and I am back to IE8 because I use youtube a lot. And I Am much faster at streaming with IE8. I kinda feel like the benchmark for browsers is rigged. Since IE8 comes in first for streaming youtube, then firefox, safari etc. But on Futuremark Safari is my fastest. Just curious on your thoughts is this rigged? I know youtube is just one site though hm.

Oh and if you're wondering what I meant by testing this. I just load up two browsers at a time. Like for example IE8 and firefox. I'll click on a couple random videos and for me. I get IE8 much faster then firefox. And fox is faster at streaming on youtube then safari and chrome.

@x900lbGorillax , unless you run many different scenarios of tests you sometimes cannot see the difference. A youtube video loading in IE8 is just as fast in Firefox at times you cant tell much, thats why I run the Futuremark tests which covers a wide variety of tests to prove overall fastest browsers.
