this is just to show you how to get the sercret key other than that there is no special way to get rotom but go to Eterna forest have cut and go into the very back room. thump the Tv between 8 and midnight and he appears. the secret key is to change is form NOT to find him!

I still don't get how to catch Rotom. I know I don't need the Key, and I know I have to catch it at night between 8 PM and 2 AM, but I interact with the TV and it just says the same thing about an odd feeling. Nothing else. The in-game clock is the same as my clock.

@Spakiness Just get a Pokemon with a move like Foresight, which lets you hit a Ghost-type with a Normal-type move. Also get a high-level Pokemon with False Swipe.

the good thing about heartgold and soul silver you don't need an event to get rotom's forms. You just need a rotom and have got to saffron city :)
