I tend to love the Rebels who I may not agree with all the time..But the fact that their Rebellion and talent are one and the samt...I would just love to see the day when we begin minding our own business instead of minding other peoples affairs...I honest to Charlie Sheen could not care less about Celebrities lifestyles, habits, hobbys..NUTTIN...I think privacy has been hijacked by CNN and Fox news...Si?
I do not judge anyone for whatever gets them thouijh this very difficult time..So what if she is snorting bubble gum up her whatever or if she outhanks hank..it is entirely her affair and would we not be a lot better off without the little knives we sink into the heart of those we find to be not up to our hypocritcal lie..leave others alone so they don't accidetally hate us that are blessed by their truth
I can remember when my life was like this. brings back a flood of memories. some good , some not so good. nice to remember something i thought i had forgotten so thanks for that my queen.

not to say worong but it actully started with a movement at the time that include d chis hillman , j.d.souther and a few more linda ronstadt, and i guess one could include arlo guthrie and many more....what bout the dead
Bessie Smith, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Patsy Kline and Mary Chapin Carpenter started this kind of music. Not that I don't thoroughly dig Gram Parsons who also was an important part of a tradition he didn't start.
oh man i saw her play last night at the WaMu at MSG in NYC.. she played this one boy was she on!!!! what a great show. i met the whole band except the drummer after the show on the street at 1 A.M. Before that I asked Lucinda to give me a hug and she started to come over but then her up tight security guards directed her towards the limo so she apologized and blew me a kiss
Lucinda has a way of touching my heart and soul. Deep and dark. . . Check out NPR All Songs Considered. Go to live concerts and you can download a two hour 40 minute concert. Saw her two months ago and will see her in Charlottesville, VA in two weeks. Words cannot describe the connection she has with the audience. Wrap your head around that! That's the video I want to see.
Lucinda is truly an icon in the industry. I do suspect she could care less. Car Wheels is (as all are) another of her songs that shows her passion and love of her work. She simply doesn't disappoint her fans.
I just got turned on to Lucinda after listening to Changed the Locks on Imus [Sharpton sucks!], after jokingly dismissing her music... thought she sounded like a drunken hick chick. But... she effin rocks and her song writing is amazing. Could you say she's a female Bob Dylan?
Amen brother...Lucinda ROCKS...period! She is a TRUE artist, poet, performer, & human being. She pours herself into her lyrics and music, clearly. I've been a fan now for ~2 years when, by chance, a used car I bought had her first CD (Koch reissue w/18 tracks) left in the stereo. I wore out that CD on the 1000 mile drive home and have been hooked on Lu's sound ever since. Her band mates are true professionals...great sound / skill. Still waiting for an opportunity to see her LIVE!
thanks - awesome

I love listening to Lucinda. But I also think she should give a big chunk of her paycheck to Gorf Morlix.
SometimeAngel 2 years ago
...and i guess she should the rest of the paycheck to Townes wife??
Lucinda is WAY over Gorf, she's in there with the GUYS. Kris would kill for this tune...

-I was joking that his GUITAR really took a lot of her songs to the next level.

Hank Williams too. Any relation I wonder? It may have had a '40's and '50 sound, but they both write about life.

Nashville has been shite for 30 odd years. Anyway, in the alternative country genre Lucinda has been the Queen since "Car Wheel" came. She still is.
Fuck TinPan Alley,
hill Emmylou, Lucinda, Steve and all the other alternatives...
