Because I used to work alot with mc27's ( advanced ones) But a normal or advanced one, the TX/TS must have a 1 on 1 ground to the antenna if it was out of range we could blow up our mc27 ( like portophones). So i'm most likely worried u will kill you routers transmitter with this idea.

this is bunch od c*ap! first of all u don't use tv cable cuz it has 75 Ohms impedance, and the loss increases, second if u want u use a cable then it's 50 Ohms RF cable with low loss, on 2 meter 1db loss, on 50m of cable u would have 25dB loss which eaquales cr*py SIGNAL...if u want a wifi boost buy a 15dB or more yagi antenna for 2.4GHz, second author is trying ti imitate an omni antena which has to have precise space between coils, and a precise lenght of cable to work on wifi channels

then u had to made how to construct a cantenna, cuz it's directional antenna and there is a better boost, a material needed for it is less then 5$...and most important for home made antennas u never use more then 2m of cable. cuz of the losses in the cable, or u will end up in more losses then gain from antenna... 75ohm tv cable is not designed for 2.4GHz, losses on that frequency in the cable are huge... i made my own yagi antenna, and a helix antenna.. helix is easy to make, a has a good boost

Ok, what I'm working on is trying to transmit WiFi Signals on an Electronic tape waves. What I did was I un-assembled a digital electronic tape and placed the WLAN PCI Antenna perpendicular to the electronic tape.

(part2)See the waves that are generated from the E-Tape could travel up to 250 Ft. (not helpful) so what I did was I increased the pitch volume of the E-Tape and there I got it to go 723ft. So far so good, then when I placed the antenna in front of it all the access points disappeared! It took me long time to figure out the reason but then it hit me.

(part3)I place an access point about 630ft away in one of my friend's apartment. When I pointed the tape directly at the access point I received an "Excellent Signal" but only for 5 Sec.
