  • I saw Steve and Eydie 7 times in concert, just amazing voices, both of them, this is one of my favorites.....thanks

  • en español el titulo es LA PLEGARIA DE MI AMOR. magnifica version. podria alguien mostrarla aki pues no la encuentro ' GRACIAS . ANTONIO DE SLP

  • A Beautiful Song. I've Loved it since childhood when I watched Edyie perform it on the Cerebral Palsy Telethon hosted by Dennis James. This has to be one of the MOST UNDER-APPRECIATED SONGS Of All Times.

This along with "If He Walked Into My Life" are my favorite Edyie tunes. Daniel NY NY

  • one of the prettiest torch songs ever made. she never got enough credit for her singing ability. thanks for uploading.

  • Alguien me puede decir por favor como se llama esta cancion en español, cuando era una niña la escuche por primera vez en español, por favor si alguien la tiene que la suba. Gracias!

  • fantastica.impresionante.

  • I was nine years old when I heard this song in Mexico (the Spanish version) for the first time. I was a poor child and saved for several months to buy the disc, but I couldn't find it anywhere and whenever I went, people didn't know which song I was looking for. Now I realized why, I was six years old when it came out, but It still baffles me how nobody knew about it. I still have never heard the Spanish version again since I was a child. :( Thank you very much for posting it. :)

  • Beautiful song I love her voice

  • i first heard this on the radio, i thought she was a black singer.

  • Esta versiòn de Tonigth I' ll say prayer es mejor que la otra que està colgada, posteada(posting) aquì; You are wonderful Eydie, tù tocas las Fibras del Alma.

  • I love Ms. Gorme!

  • I used to have this 45. Snap crackle pop. Remember how when a 45 would crack you could snap it back into place and still play it? Or better yet, put a penny on the stylus so it wouldn't skip? Or, do you remember the Hi Fi's that would close up like a suitcase? Damn, I wish I still had mine... :o )

  • This is at least as good as Vicki Carr's version. They're both terrific. I didn't know Eydie did this one so well. Fantastic.

  • Didn't know Vicki Carr had a version. Have been searching everywhere on youtube, & the internet. Would love to hear it.

  • You're welcome Mike...glad you found it....it is a fantastic song and Eydie is the only one that can sing it.

  • I cant get away from this.again god bless you for a great song.I really think a lot of people forget.again, thanks a million!!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks again for this great memory

  • @Snookiebutt VERY WELL SAID, I 100% AGREE WITH YOU...

  • wow this really brings back good memories.thanks so much snookiebutt, you are great!!!!!!!!!!!

  • As great a career as shes had I'm shocked people don't think of her in the same category of Garland and Streisand. She is one of the all time greats and kept true to her music and never sold out.

  • She is truly a magnificent vocalist

  • Thank you for posting this clip

  • Wow! This is an example of a perfect match between a singer and a song. So poignantly done By Eydie Gorme. If this song doesn't break your heart, everytime you hear it, nothing will....This, and "If He Walked Into My Life" are two of my favorites by Eydie Gorme...Bravo!!!!!

  • This tune has undertones of The Midnight Cowboy Theme, their both very cozy sounding late 60's,early 70's tunes.I think they both were released almost the same year if not exactly the same year.I love them both..Eydies great!!

  • @raystar8 You're memory serves you well!. Both of these were on the radio Christmas time 1969

  • great song that radio forgot

  • A true NATURAL voice! Smooth as silk!

  • never remove this video i listen to it everyday!!

  • I have this on a CD, I keep playing it over and over. Terrific orchestration. Listen how the different instruments join her as the story progresses, then a bang-up finish.
