Great sport - I played for 10 years until my left ear wouldn't let me keep on. Most athletes are used to having all the oxygen they want just by breathing but in this game that's obviously different and so even people in very good shape can be surprised at how demanding the game is. For instance you can tell that these guys are pretty good simply by observing their ability to keep the goal blocked and a defenceplayer in place aswell. It could be even better of course but this is pretty good.

Well actually you wont die :D few of my fathers friends (members finnish world championship team) have fainted in game but ofc they were dragged up from there :D and if u mean that some 1 would hold you in water... well just throw the ball :P after that its against rules to be in contact (with guy that has no ball)

Like, how you know that the dude on the enemy team wont drown while you're tryin to get the ball etc?

I've never tried this sport, i even would drown in my kitchen sink probably but im just curious, how you know you wont drown your opponent

But when come to think about it, not many sports have such a thing that u gotta watch kind of take care of your opponent :)

Well, think of it this way, the players usually know their limits before every game and are hopefully smart enough to know when to toss in the towel. In some sports, you usually focus on the person with the ball, so if the ball is passed, you won't keep hugging onto the person who still has the ball. As well, if the person pushes themselves too far, it'll be obvious when you see somebody struggling for air then passing out underwater that you need to help them. Teammate or opponent.

we play this at my high school with the swim team for fun sometimes. We use a torpedo instead of the weighted ball though, for better passing.

It is in fact my team in this film, and it is a hard sport, but it has little in common with real rugby, except for the name and the close contact. But it is really great fun I tell you!
