yes guy clark is great i love how he can really tell the story have you hear the guitar he wrot yet its worth a listin hey keep up the good singing i love it
hi guitardolly .. interestingly i heard Guy Clark sing this a week ago on an album with Steve Earle and Townes VZ.. great song.. reminded me of my youth..
When I was very young I tried to fly out the upstairs window because I thought I was growing feathers. Alas, they were just hairs on my arms. What a song. Love it. LOL
Wonderful job! I just saw Eric Bibb in concert last week. It was so amazing! Your verson has inspired me to learn it on guitar. Coming along quite well. This song is so wonderful. Actually, Guy Clark wrote the song, but Eric Bibb did an amazing job. Thank you for the video. Keep on pickin'!
thanks for listening and dropping me a note.. it 's a great song I'm glad your learning it.. brilliant.. yes a couple of you tubers have mentioned its by Guy Clark.. not heard the original yet.. happy playing.. "piss and vinegar" ... ?.. what a great line.. M:)
I love this version of the track. That chorus is beautiful...I've wanted to do my own version since I heard it for the first time ever yesterday. Thanks.
Still working on it, but considering I'm doing it more like Guy Clark's version, which is less uniform than the Eric Bibb version, I think it's gonna take me a while. Thanks for replying to my comment..
this reminds me of Jonathan Livingston Seagull, " they fly because they believe they can". There is a certain kind of day in spring, not too warm, not too cold, with strong breezes, when I still feel, it is a perfect day for flying.
Thanks for that PPM. Its in C. (capo second fret) I actually learnt it from an Eric Bibb album. I just listen and played. Thanks for the song writer.. I couldn't find it anywhere, Regards Mike
