  • The kid is wonderful! Too bad the rest of the band doesn't come up to his standards. Really some foot tapping music!!

  • I love this and tge drummer too.

  • This makes me want to head to the Shootzenfest, grab a mug of beer and get on the Dance floor with my wife.

  • I played percussion all through high school and was never coordinated enough to master the trap set like this kid does!!! But I can chew gum and walk at the same time!!!

  • I love this.

  • This kid is awesome!

  • That is absolutely amazing- how old did you say he is!?

  • @FreakyFemales He will be 7 years old next month and still plays everyday!

  • Wow he is great i loved itgood luck Chris

  • Wow, Chris is awesome!! Can you imagine how good he will be in 10 years. Good job. Thanks for the entertainment!

  • Authentic Polka! Get some Yuengling and a stein. Maybe a bit of sauerkraut and wiener schnitzel!

  • Your so right that kid can rock!!! I hope Steven Adler, Matt Sorum & Tommy Lee see's this!!! Awesome!!:)

  • What a fantastic job! Well done. They should really have a smaller kit for him, but seeing how good he's doing on the full sized kit, I think he'll just grow right into it. Way to go Christopher!!!

  • Kid can't even reach the damn symbols let alone the bass drum. Holy crap. Yeah he's good though.

  • Bravo Kid!!

  • I am 15, been playing drums for 4-5 years now.. this makes me want to quit.. he is REALLY good for his age.

  • This little munchkin is totally amazing. Couldn't keep my eyes off of him. Didn't even notice their was anyone else in the band.

  • Better than Justin Bieber and his "drumming".

  • Thanks for uploading this wonderful video. The kids phenominal!

  • Marion Lush would be proud..

  • WOW!

  • Maybe he can sing too, and replace the guy moaning the song.

  • I used to think Ricky Ricardo, Jr. on the old I Love Lucy Show was great. This one's sure got the 'schtick' down. Too bad Lawrence Welk is gone. He'd have snapped him up Real Quick!

  • LMAO!! Look at that little squirt go to town!!! He is having so much fun. That cheered me up!

  • God places His gifts in diverse places. This kid is phenominal. May he go far in the music world.~LP~

  • This boy is AWESOME! Hopefully he will be one in his generation to keep polka music alive.

  • Oh my

  • 0:01 Is that Walter White?

  • Ufda...I miss Minnesota!!!! Ya sure you betcha...I can polka with the best of them!!!!

  • Absolutely amazing and you can tell Christopher has a love for music!

  • Now, this kid is really enjoying his music!!!

... what will he be like five or ten years from now!?!

  • @julanenova

My bet is that he won't be protesting Wall Street and capitalism.

  • GO MN!!!! WOOHOO!!!!!!

  • Chris is amazingly talented for his age! Parents have to be VERY proud! Polka is fun!!!

  • This kid was GREAT... Loved it.

  • @48Francesca I watched this video 4 times and everytime this kid was 'on the money' with his playing. Your sync must have been way off not to see and hear that each time he was on cymbals he was playing cymbals, each time he hit that base, he hit the base on the money. no doubt about it he is doing just exactly what you hear.

  • That little boy is fantastic!

  • Awesome young man, what a treat to watch, you can just see how his whole self becomes a part of the music. Thankyou for sharing this video :D

  • THIS KID IS AMAZING...HOW PROUD HIS FAMILY MUST BE.... I HAVE SENT THIS TO ALL OF MY FRIENDS AND THEY CANNOT BLIEVE HIM...GOD BLESS HIM IF Y9OU WOULD LIKE TO SEE AOTHER AMAZING 7 YEAR OLD GOTO GEORGE STAIDUHAR AND DIMITRI DRAGAS....UNREAL BOTH OF THEM

  • Watching this was better than a polka in the eye! The kid is hilarious! WAY TO GO!

  • awesum job boy, mum n dad must be proud as .

  • @mnissel, please don't be bothered by @48Francesca. The world is full of the uninformed spouting their foolish opinions. Your kid is great! Stay positive and don't listen to detractors. Keep having fun - no matter what the outcome. Cheers and best wishes!

  • Sorry, after watching this video, the kid might be playing the drums but HIS playing is NOT what you HEAR....watch it again more closely and you'll hear a lot more of the drums when his arms aren't even moving in beat w/ what you hear. Think this is a scam.

  • @48Francesca. Are you a drummer? I am. the kid is playing real time, you see what you hear.

You can't see his left arm. He's using a closed hi-hat (foot left not on the pedal)

  • @48Francesca I am Christopher's mother and part of the band and can assure you, this is no scam. Come out to a dance and see him play for yourself. Or, there are countless other videos posted on youtube of him drumming. Go watch them. I am offended by the acusation. You can't get any more true than the raw enthusiasm he demosntrates while playing. It is in his heart! What you see, is what you get!

  • This kid is awesome, I had a great time watching this vid.keep drumming kid you will go places.

  • LOL ... fantastic! This kid must have been a professional drummer in another lifetime.

  • Please don't "simplify" him too much! He's fantastic.

  • This young boy plays awesome drums with true gusto and apparent joy ! I thoroughly enjoyed his entire performance. Bravo ! He appeared to be happiness personified while playing this polka music ! His parents must be very, very proud as they well should be He is a very talented 6 year old ! Love the way he smiles so often too !

  • He's amazing. The band is great and Christopher is skilled way beyond his years!

  • that kid is incrediable, and having a geat time. he was jammin

  • Hi to the person who posted this. Very nice. My name is Brian Choper, a known drummer. I was sent this link by a friend. Feel free to look me up and contact me if interested. I studied with many known artists who gave me guidance in my early teens and 20's. It's great to see someone so young with an ear. He sort of reminds me of a Vaudeville Buddy Rich, but he needs a professional teacher. I would be more than happy to sit down with him or provide you advice, if you are interested.

  • Bravo!!! Whatever musical genre he wishes to pursue, he's got the heart and talent to take it to the top!!!

  • i cant believe 4 people disliked this video

  • GET HIM SOME LEGIT SCHOOLING...HE HAD TALENT TO DEVELOPE

  • He is too busy all the time....A good polka band features the accordian, and the brass, and thedrummer keeps the basic beat with the Bass Drum, the cymbals, rimshots on the off beats, and special effects like blocks, cowbells, ect. He has the basic tools for doing the job. He just needs to simplify the style.

  • Damn, that kid is solid! Few mishaps but oh well.

  • Christopher is quite talented, and really seems to be enjoying himself! What an amazing kid!

  • @EroticCheesecake Wow, way to be supportive of a talented young kid who is obviously enjoying what he's doing. Jealousy issues???

  • needs more cowbell

  • Christopher is a very talented young man! If he ever does get on Ellen, She will be very amazed! Watch out Justin Beiber! He's only 6 years old.

  • That kid is super super GREAT ! Put him on America has talent. He really enjoys what he is doing.

  • I could do this when I was 5

  • The lad has great chops. He overplays quite a lot, but that is just a matter of education. Rock on, lil dude !

  • Sweetheart of the polka! Keep up the good work, kiddo.

  • very good give him a couple more years and look out

  • Needs to switch to rock and roll ....he was all over the place.....he can play but real raw!

  • This is why we live here...I remember spending my summers in Chaska and the Fr. night polkas in the park down town....going to Coopers' SuperValu and getting an ice cream bar! Those were the days my friend! Keep him drumming in the days of old! POLKA!!

  • Awesome! This little guy has rythum and is playing with so much joy. Cute as a button!

  • This is a culture of Eastern European culture that is dying in Minnesota and to suggest it to Ellens show as amazing is offensive pretentious boob! Show the folks that danced normally in the crowd. Its not a freek show we do this normally. This young boy is a Send to us. What was the song?????? No just find it fun without knowing and tweeting. Name the song a Dance goes with it and learn the steps and what language!

  • This lad is fabulous and obviously enjoys the music. Decades ago at a Shawano, WI Harley rally the dealer provided music was good, but someone found out about a nearby Indian polka band with a great rep and we decided to visit them. One of our lads was happy where we were, and we had to "kidnap" him to get him to accompany us. 10 minutes later he was SO happy we had brought him along we were forgiven. Polka music is lively.

  • I hope U make it BIG U are GREAT!!! Keep up the GOOD work playing POLKA music... Dziekuje! (Thanks)

  • Keep it up, young man, for your coordination and song-form recognition are definitely advanced for your age!!

Note to whomever set up the drums: Could you make the little guy reach any more???????? How will he ever learn how to be cool on the hi hat if he can't play without forsaking it, and standing up to reach a crash? Geeeeeze.......

  • For six years old and maybe alot older this young man is terrific. Way to go Chris!

  • When I was six I was getting toilet trained...

  • Just imagine what that kid is going to do once his legs get long enough to reach the pedals comfortably. Yea kid, way to go!

  • He plays what he hears in his Minds Ear...Your Mentoring will make him a Great Drummer in Years To Come...Have Patience with him and he will make you proud1 Chris keep that polka beat a going!

    Florida Honky Polka Band

  • What a talent. For being six years old, he can sure play the drums. Goggle up Rick K and the All-Nighters and watch that drummer. He is called the "Mad Drummer. If you would like, leave me know what you think of him.

  • He reminds me so much of my son when we had our own polka band. Stephan was about 2 years older.........but oh what memories!

    This kid is fantabulous!

  • You can't beat a good Polka.!!

  • @pick4guy : You nailed that one. Amen, NOTHING beats a good Polka!

  • @pick4guy thrashmetal > polka

  • Made my day watching you on wcco!

  • Awesome..

  • This kid is a great talent. He'll be famous some day - maybe tommorrow.

  • As a music teacher--some students starting as young as 5 ( guitar ) my relatives sent this to me to watch. THIS KID IS AMAZING ! Yes he is way ahead of the curve--and the best thing--he is so happy playing. I love his spirit--he is a born performer! Go Christopher !!!

  • A smile on my face the whole time. Why is he in the background?

  • Hope for the future!

  • It amazes me the ignorance of people sometimes! This kid is 6 years old, cut him some slack! Have you ever worked with young musicians before? I've taught junior high and high school instrumental music for the pat 15 years along with gigging regularly with a band, and this child is WAY ahead of the curve. And by the way those are NOT drum rolls he is doing. Maybe you were talking about the fills and embellishments he was doing on snare? Learn a thing or two before you start ripping someone down.

  • this kid is overplaying even for polka music he is doing too many drum rolls in the WRONG places drowning out the singer/vocals. I would have kicked him ff the stage in the middle of the song. one word SIMPLIFY !

  • @TheAstrobas After your comment, I had to watch this again. No doubt, he does get busy, but we are a polish style polka band, which means when the concertina is pushing, the drummer is to ride the cymbal, which he does. We would not have someone playing in our band, even our own son, if he didn't know how to play the style we are trying to achieve. We are working with him to "simplify" and not "fill" so much. After all, he is only 6 years old and I think he does one hell of job for his age!

  • Respond to this video... Mr. Ebel, please: suffer no fools. I'm as proud of him as if he were my own son!

  • @TheAstrobas You're a fucking moron. Go back to your mom's basement and your Rock Band game or take a few lessons and come back when you're less of an asshat.

  • chłopak ma wielki talent .. gdzie jest akordeon?

thank you for a wonderful video

  • Where can I hear him live. Awesome.

  • This kid is totally awesome!!!

Keep it up as it sounds really great!

    Polka Lover from Texas

  • Keep up the GOOD work! You are a STAR already in our books!

  • What a kid!! Awesome! His timing is really good even with all the extra 'notes.'

Watch out, Dad. He's comin' up behind ya! ARL
