For those of you with an iPod that isnt jailbreaked, go to setting-general-accessibility-­triple click home-ask. Then when your done triple click the home button and select voice over and touch the battery icon and voice over will tell you the percentage of your battery life. But before you activate all that read the voice over instructions so you don't confused.

The iPhone doesnt have a bad battery, face facts kids it's a powerful phone and feature rich, having 3G internet enabled WILL drain the battery. If you turn off 3G and only use it when needed then your battery life pretty much doubles.

My iPhone 3G loses a maximum of 10 % after about 6 hours. If it EVEN loses something. Most of the times it stays at 100 %. And mine IS jailbroken.

For all iPod Touch Users, if you would like the percentage but are annoyed with SB Settings always getting hit by accident when click "Back" you can install SB Settings, then click "Yes" on the battery percentage, then uninstall SB Settings and the percentage will stay there.

Actually, anyone who has owned anything with a battery indicator can tell you that the battery usually fluctuates between percentages based on what is being done at the time. Meaning if you have a percentage indicator on say... an iPhone 3G, then that number can switch anywhere from 14% and 15% until it's reached a point in that percentage that 14 would be the definite (around 14.7-14.8% until 14% on the indicator is solid), and so on and so forth until the battery dies, or you charge it.
