I am so sorry to hear about that.. My horse ruler died at 17 from HYPP. It killed me. I had such a special bond with my horse. I loved him more then words could IMAGNE!!! I am sorry for your loss I know that you are going through

I'm so sorry for your loss. It's especially sad because HYPP could be wiped out of the gene pool so easily. Whenever I see one of these videos, it's so frustrating because nobody (horse or human) should have to go through this. My first horse was a QH and we had never even heard of HYPP. Thank god she was negative. If only everyone knew what it was and breeders stopped passing it on.

I am soooo sorry, sorry, soory for you. I lost my 'Wizzy' 2 years ago at 20 to cancer. He acted like he was 8. I'm sorry, I only saw your post, I can't watch your vid, or I will cry too hard, but I send you my condolences. I don't think I will have another horse again. I am truly sorry for you, again. I brought him from Germany to New York to Colorado and would have gone to the end of the Earth for him if I had to. :(. Lots of people understand.

So sorry for your loss. I owned a QH *gelding* that traced back top and bottom to Impressive and, thankfully, he did not have attacks. He was never bred either. HYPP HH or NH horses should not be registered by AQHA and should definately never breed. How sad for the owners and the affected horses.

I'm sorry for your loss...Cowboy looked like a great horse and it just infuriates me that they still register horses that are HYPP N/H or H/H, if they simply denied registry to those, there would hypothetically be less of a problem :(

Training Him Was Easy Their Just Like Any Horse.

My Vet Told Me When We Found Out He Had Hypp He Could Die Tomorrow Or Live A full Life. If Your Getting A Horse With Hypp You Need To Read Up On All The Info You Can Find. They All Have Different Needs But Mainly Adding Electrolites To There Feed And Type Of Hay Is Important.
